RV was detonated. They were already checking it out as suspicious. Lots of damage on 2nd Ave but appears to be glass and other similar light materials but no major structural damage. Unquestionably they are being assembled. Also ATF’s National Center for Explosives Training and Research, their headquarters for all explosives and fire related matters is only an hour and a half away in Huntsville, AL. The FBI’s Hazardous Devices School, where all bomb technicians are trained as well as their Terrorist Explosive Device Analytical Center are also located in Huntsville. There is already an enormous response from all the right people underway and thankfully the equipment they will need is very close. According to the press conference officers who responded to the shot fired call found the RV suspicious enough to call the bomb squad and start evacuating the residents in the area. Much of that was complete when it detonated. No details were provided as to why they found it suspicious enough to initiate that action. Clearly a well planned event.
