At a minimum we should cut proportionally Federal monies for law enforcement. You cut 25% of you police budget, we cut 25% of federal funds for crime. Jesse Sic Semper Tyrannis

Yeah! You'd better not defund your police, or we'll... further defund your police.

Ignored facts still exist |
I was in Portland last week. Graffiti everyplace, Homeless camps, lots of damage, businesses destroyed. The only thing that will help is new city leadership. But between the Mayor, the city council, the DA and the governor, I don't see that happening any time soon. They would all need to be replaced. One of the city council members accused the Portland Police of setting the fires and doing much of the damage, as a false flag thing. She has no evidence, but she made the accusation. .

I don't think anything will change. The libs have taken a 'scorched Earth' approach to their own city. They let it burn, and it will become a ghost town, with the affluent and skilled leaving in droves, leaving behind one giant third-world ghetto. The remaining welfare class won't have the sense to vote in better leadership. They are incapable of seeing that THEY are the problem, not the solution. It's almost unprecedented - when else in American history has a major city self-destructed on such a major scale in so short of a time?.. . They are going to be a plague of locusts, moving from city to city until they meet actual resistance. There are plenty of leftist cities to burn before they think they have the numbers to move on to conservative areas. ____________________________ Eeewwww, don't touch it! Detroit. After the huge Detroit riots of summer 1967, the city began a rapid economic and population decline from which it has never recovered. "The heaviest casualty of the riot, however, was the city. Detroit's losses went a hell of a lot deeper than the immediate toll of lives and buildings. The riot put Detroit on the fast track to economic desolation, mugging the city and making off with incalculable value in jobs, earnings taxes, corporate taxes, retail dollars, sales taxes, mortgages, interest, property taxes, development dollars, investment dollars, tourism dollars, and other money. The money was carried out in the pockets of the businesses and the people who fled as fast as they could. The exodus from Detroit had been prodigiously steady prior to the riot, totaling twenty-two thousand in 1966, but afterward, it was frantic. In 1967, with less than half the year remaining after the summer explosion, the outward population migration reached sixty-seven thousand. In 1968 the figure hit eighty-thousand, followed by forty-six thousand in 1969."

Where's Michael Reinoehl? "Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." -- Justice Janice Rogers Brown "The United States government is the largest criminal enterprise on earth." -rduckwor

Correct. Living nearly my entire life in the north and northwestern suburbs of Detroit: I've watched it happen. But it wasn't just the '67 riots that did it. That precipitated it. Then followed some 40 years of poor government, exemplified by the 20 year reign of Hizzoner Coleman A. Young. The city has only recently begun turning around--after the election of Mayor Mike Duggan in 2013. This is why knowing history is so important. If these Democrat mayors in Portland, Seattle, NYC, etc. had taken a lesson from Detroit, and if they actually cared about their cities' residents, they would not be allowing this stuff to happen. This is an example of my earlier point about it not necessarily being a binary cunning/stupid thing on the part of leftists. They're trying to be cunning, but they're being stupid. As an aside: The Federal government didn't help. When they instituted the cross-district school busing nonsense, that just expanded the area of white flight (except it wasn't just whites--it was anybody who could afford to, regardless of skin color), further pushing anybody with any affluence at all still further from Detroit and its near suburbs, worsening Detroit's plight. Another major element in Detroit's demise was the decline of the U.S. automotive industry. "America is at that awkward stage. It's too late to work within the system,,,, but too early to shoot the bastards." -- Claire Wolfe "If we let things terrify us, life will not be worth living." -- Seneca the Younger, Roman Stoic philosopher

lyndon johnson was president in 1966-1967, hardly a strong leader like President Trump. I've always believed that the democrats don't mind people and businesses leaving the cities. Land becomes literally worthless, which allows democrats to buy it up.

Biden Meets With Antisemitic, Farrakhan-Loving Father Of Jacob Blake https://www.zerohedge.com/poli...g-father-jacob-blake Jacob Blake Sr. - the father of a Jacob Blake, a black man who was shot four times by police in Kenosha, WI while violating a restraining order for felony sexual assault - is a giant antisemite, anti-Christian, and loves Islamic hate-preacher Louis Farrakhan. And if you're Joe Biden looking to pander to 'woke' Democrats, you meet with said antisemite on Thursday in a bid to score political points over the now-paralyzed Blake Jr., whose shooting sparked violent riots in Kenosha and added gasoline to anti-police protests sweeping the country. is Farrakhan, the racist, antisemitic leader of the Nation of Islam, and denigrating Christianity as a way to fool black people. -BreitbartThis message has been edited. It's no wonder he raised a thug, rapist son. Yet, nobody in the media or these athletes and celebrities praising him, have yet to express any concern for the woman he raped. Please wake up people....these athletes and so called celebrities are laughing at all of the brain dead people who flock to their games or movies. Stop supporting them.
