Maybe true, but they’ll just put the dissenters into the front lines and problem solved.

Good luck with that.

Zelenskyy: Ukraine lacks weapons to retake Crimea, but the world has means to pressure Russia

It's not really a question of having enough weapons in this case, it's a question of having enough soldiers.
You can have all the weapons in the world, but if there is no one to man them, then what difference does it make.

The day the war of movement stopped and it became trench warfare, is the day it become virtually impossible for Ukraine to "win" this war.
They don't have a big enough army to break through layers of static defenses.
There is zero chance the Ukrainian army by itself can retake the Crimean peninsula or the Eastern provinces currently occupied by Russia.

This is shaping up to be, for Ukraine, a repeat of the 1864-1870 Paraguayan War (aka War of the Triple Alliance), and for Zelenskyy, Paraguayan President Solano-López. That war cost Paraguay over 50% of its population overall, up to 90% of its military-aged men, and the president his life fighting the guerilla war phase. Look those up and you'll see the parallels.

Lol, so I guess if you don't wish to go to war you can just continue to sell dope on the street corner. Okeydokey.

Oh wait, what happens to drug dealers in Russia? nevermind.

^^^ That reminds me of this Flintstones clip. Zelenskyy Fred , having been turned into the boss for a day by Great Gazoo, finds who's really in charge.

Zelenskyy talks of "Full and unconditional ceasefire". The path he's on leads to full and unconditional surrender.

You gotta know when to hold 'em...

That deal definitely changes the equation of the Ukraine - Russia war. Hopefully we get repaid and the meat grinding days are over.

^^^^^ The deal doesn't include repayment of funds already given to them. Only on future payments. Trump wanted it for all funds given but they wouldn't agree.
Its a start anyway. We need the rare earth minerals. So thats good.
Guessing our involvement will have some pull on how little z responds or perhaps a change will come. I really can’t see z bitting his tongue long enough for peace to happen.

I thought the UK already locked up the minerals in January. They just wanted US to provide military backup.

Unless I heard that directly from the PotUS I do not think he would sign any deal that was one that didn't give the US what he wanted, period.

All I have to go on is the article Para linked above. Go ahead and pick and choose what you want to believe in the article though. Guess you will wait until Trump reports on it before you believe any of it. Roll Eyes

Mustang-Papa is correct and it's a shitty fucking "deal" if you want to call it that. More like U.S. taxpayers will continue paying out the ass for some nebulous future benefit and Trump just forgave $500 Billion (!!!) in aid to Ukraine.

It's not our fucking war and I wish Trump had stayed out of it, like Vance wanted.

Indeed, I will wait to hear more from the President.
Signing a shitty deal is not something I see us doing. Zero chance.
