i never understood everyone's fear of nukes. If one major country launches a nuke today without consultation of other countries, you can kiss planet earth goodbye cause everyone will unleash theirs. Only NZ and maybe Australia will exist.

But your shadow will live forever, lol.

So this inherent fear of nukes I dont understand. No major power wants to use them and if they do it will be more than one.

http://www.washingtonexaminer....rump/article/2612814

A senior U.S. Secret Service agent posted social-media condemnations of President Trump during the past seven months, including one in which she said she wouldn't want to "take a bullet" for him.

She explained herself saying she viewed his presidential candidacy as a "disaster" for the country, and especially for women and minorities.

Kerry O'Grady, the special agent in charge of the Secret Service's Denver district, oversees coordination with Washington-based advance teams for all presidential candidate and presidential trips to the area, including all upcoming or future trips by the president, vice president or Trump administration officials.

Despite her senior security role, she has made her disdain for Trump and his incoming administration clear to her Facebook followers, who included current and former Secret Service agents and other people who were employees at the time of the posts.

In one Facebook post O'Grady wrote at 11:07 p.m. on a Sunday in October, she endorsed Clinton and said she would endure "jail time" rather than "taking a bullet" for what she regarded as a "disaster" for America.

The post didn't mention Trump by name but clearly referred to him

"But this world has changed and I have changed. And I would take jail time over a bullet or an endorsement for what I believe to be disaster to this country and the strong and amazing women and minorities who reside here. Hatch Act be damned. I am with Her."

In a lengthy interview with the Examiner Monday, O'Grady says she took down the post after two to three days of greater reflection and wasn't trying to imply she wouldn't take a bullet for Trump or any officials in the Trump administration.

"It was an internal struggle for me but as soon as I put it up, I thought it was not the sentiment that I needed to share because I care very deeply about the mission," she said.

O'Grady repeatedly stressed that she would in no way shirk her duties to protect the president because of her opposition to Trump's candidacy and support for Clinton.

O'Grady posted the logo for the women's March on Denver as her Facebook cover backdrop on Inauguration Day, Friday, Jan. 21 at 12:25 p.m.

When one of her Facebook followers commented that "none of these women represent me #justsayin," O'Grady countered that "all of these women represent me! Proud to say it! #nasty." That back and forth, captured in a screengrab of the post, no longer appears on O'Grady's Facebook page.

At 11:23 p.m. on Inauguration Day, she updated her profile picture to an artist's rendering of Princess Leia with the words, "A woman's place is in the resistance."

****************

she shouldn't be in the secret service

I bet she would take a cum shot from Bubba though. But if she's really with "her" Put her on Hillary's detail and see what that's like. From what I've heard and read , it won't take long for her to change her tune.

Trump admin orders EPA contract freeze and media blackout

MICHAEL BIESECKER and JOHN FLESHER Published: January 24, 2017, 12:25 pm Updated: January 24, 2017, 1:43 pm

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Trump administration has instituted what it described as a temporary media blackout at the Environmental Protection Agency and barred staff from awarding any new contracts or grants.

Emails sent to EPA staff since President Donald Trump’s inauguration on Friday and reviewed by The Associated Press detailed specific prohibitions banning press releases, blog updates or posts to the agency’s social media accounts.

The Trump administration has also ordered what it called a temporary suspension of all new business activities at the department, including issuing task orders or work assignments to EPA contractors. The orders were expected to have a significant and immediate impact on EPA activities nationwide.

Similar orders barring external communications have been issued by the Trump administration at other federal agencies in recent days, including the Agriculture and Interior departments.

Staffers in EPA’s public affairs office are instructed to forward all inquiries from reporters to the Office of Administration and Resources Management.

“Incoming media requests will be carefully screened,” one directive said. “Only send out critical messages, as messages can be shared broadly and end up in the press.”

A review of EPA websites and social media accounts, which typically include numerous new posts each day, showed no new activity since Friday.

White House spokesman Sean Spicer said Tuesday he had no information on the blackout. He said aides were looking into the circumstances.

Doug Ericksen, the communications director for Trump’s transition team at EPA, said he expects the communications ban to be lifted by the end of this week.

“We’re just trying to get a handle on everything and make sure what goes out reflects the priorities of the new administration,” Ericksen said.

Beyond what was stated in the internal email, Ericksen clarified that the freeze on EPA contracts and grants won’t apply to pollution cleanup efforts or infrastructure construction activities.

The executive director for the advocacy group Public Employees for Environmental Responsibility, Jeff Ruch, said the orders go beyond what has occurred in prior presidential transitions.

“We’re watching the dark cloud of Mordor extend over federal service,” Ruch said Tuesday, referring to the evil kingdom in the epic fantasy, The Lord of the Rings.

Ruch noted that key posts at EPA have not yet been filled with Republican appointees, including Trump’s nominee for EPA administrator, Scott Pruitt. That means there are not yet the new senior personnel in place to make key decisions.

Environmentalists said the orders were having a chilling effect on EPA staff, many of whom were suffering from low morale. Trump and Pruitt have both been frequent critics of the agency and have questioned the validity of climate science showing that the Earth is warming and man-made carbon emissions are to blame.

< [I]SNIP]/I] >

Staff at the Agriculture Department have also received orders not to release any documents to the public.

Most likely her problem is that she's only existed in the public sector where for the last 8 years she's been free to be as liberal as she wanted with no worries. If she said this and HRC was elected nothing at all woukd happen to her. In fact she might have gotten a promotion to HRCs detail.

Times are changing though. Hopefully she's homeless and starving in a year.

Trump Orders Removal Of Islamic Symbols, Practices In The White House

https://therepublicannews.net/...-in-the-white-house/

Obama was seen storming away from the West Wing after staffers from Donald Trump’s transition team began preparing the executive offices for the new administration. On Trump’s orders, one of Obama’s most secretive rituals is being reversed and all signs of it removed from 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

For the past 8 years, to appease any Muslims working at or visiting the White House, silence has been ordered during the 5 times of Islamic prayer each day. In addition, prayer rugs and crescent moon symbols are available in several areas of the executive mansion to make Muslims more comfortable.

The administration has defended the practice by asserting that it also observes several other religious moments of silence and prayer out of respect, including a full 15 seconds for Christianity on Sunday morning while a chaplain blesses a staff breakfast. None of the prayers is mandatory or led by a government official, which has allowed the administration to subvert 1st Amendment issues, but the obvious favouritism towards Islam, which is observed for 25 minutes per day 7 days a week, tells a story this president has denied for 8 years.

President-elect Trump, who acknowledges that this country was founded by Christians and was built on Christian morals, is having all pagan symbols removed from the property unless they offer some historical significance. Only the cross in the White House chapel will remain for worship.

Jim Mergernerlerny, head of the team that will transform the White House from the Obama’s home to the Trumps’ second home, told MSNBC:

“Mr Trump doesn’t see the need to provide prayer rugs and false idols in a house built by Christians. Washington, DC offers a diverse cultural centre for the worship of any kind. You won’t find any special considerations for Judaism or crucifixes to appease Catholics, either. There is a simple chapel with a single cross on one wall that is suitable for prayer by anyone. Our government doesn’t need to be forcing prayer rituals down people’s throats just so we don’t “offend” apologising people looking to blow us up.
Patriots around the U.S. can rest assured that apologising for our faith has come to an end.

... if this has been posted before, apologies for the jib-jab and I'll remove

Has there been any verification of this, the prayer calls, prayer rugs, etc? Obama "storming away..... over the removal?"

It's not impossible, I guess, but it seems fictional like so many of the wild eyed e-mails that circulate about idiotic statements made by Senators (not that they never make idiotic statements) about guns, or the CIA Director is a muslim, etc.

Any verification from other sources?

Jesus Christ. Open up a search engine and type "therepublicannews.net" . Make sure you include the quotation marks. Really, it's that simple. It's bullshit out of freaking Nigeria, guys.

When you post news items here, stop and take the time to know what you're posting. Perform a search on the domain name. Just type it into Google.

You guys are going to have to start being very careful about the news items you choose to post, because this sensationlistic crap such as what's in that "article" is going to be as common as dirt for the next 4 years.

I would think many Congressmen would rather be marinated in sheep poop. It is a major source of influence to be seen as the cause of federal dollars flowing in to the district. With the line item veto, you bust your butt all year, wheel and dealing, supporting other congressmen's idiotic wasteful projects, only to have the President line yours out.

Take a military base. Thise are orecious, and you sure don't want some President to get the wrong idea and kill yours without a huge big fight, a chance to line up your buddies in Congress to save it.
