I have zero affiliation with this site, but a friend who is ‘in the business’ in Michigan recommends Charlottes Web ___________________________ All it takes...is all you got. ____________________________ For those who have fought for it, Freedom has a flavor the protected will never know ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒΕ

Personal anecdote means zero times squat. I want to see the double blind clinical trial results. Please provide links to such. My statement is much more informed than yours if you accept anecdotal evidence. https://sciencebasedmedicine.o...he-new-miracle-cure/

Placebo effect or not, if perceived pain is diminished and there are no bad side effects, what's the harm in using it (other than the cost)? It's kind of interesting that dogs seem to be helped. I don't think dogs exhibit placebo effect. הרחפת שלי מלאה בצלופחים

This is where I am at. He is 90 and we’ll be super lucky if we have him more than a year or two. If it helps get him out of bed for more than a few hours a day with no major side effects I am good with a placebo effect. ———————————————— The world's not perfect, but it's not that bad. Staying in bed is one of the worst things you can do. Even if he has to use a walker, he should take a walk several times a day. You can go to the LEF.ORG and search for ways to improve his health. Curcumin and vitamin D3 would help. 41

What was the last fad before this one? Himalayan salt, or some such thing?

bigger government = smaller citizen |
Is that the stuff they were making lamps out of? You chuck a light bulb in the salt, and then when you turn it on it sings kum-ba-ya or emits a calming salt fog. “The urge to save humanity is almost always only a false-face for the urge to rule it.”—H.L. Mencken

It would be nice if it really worked but I've talked to several people who've used it and it's like reading the reviews on Amazon. Some say that it can cure every known ailment, the others say that it's worthless snake oil. It doesn't help that there are so many sellers out there with all their different mixtures and dosages. Some are pure and strong, some are weak and inneffective, how on earth would a person know which one to get? I'll stay sceptical for now. No one's life, liberty or property is safe while the legislature is in session.- Mark Twain

A number of possibilities. Confirmation bias is one. The cdb was used in the EXPECTATION that it would help. So you report what you expected. Confirmation bias is why drug trials have to be double blind. The person is not lying per se, they have allowed their hope and expectations to blind them. There is also the possibility of a remission taking place that coincides with the cdb. The oil gets the credit for something that occurred naturally. Also consider that there may be side effects of long term use that are simply unknown today. Also consider the cdb advocates and their agenda. CDB is part of the hippie dippie new age big pharma bad and I believe in magic cures crowd. People like that ex actress gweneth paltrow and the nonsense she peddles. Then there is the $ factor. Americans piss away gazillions of dollars each year on supplements, crystals, magnets and other scams. All because we want strongly to believe in a magic fix. Any supplement, diet or other cure she always be looked at skeptically. Especially if it becomes a dad that "everyone" is doing. I wish the feds would remove cannabis from it's "schedule". That should promote better research into the whole family of products. I just want to see the results of the science.

I've been using green roads cream for nerve damage near my left shoulder blade. But its $60 for a small bottle. Does anyone know of an affordable substitute?

Given that prescription meds are routinely pulled for adverse health effects, anecdotal evidence seems pretty ok to me. If freakin' Necco wafers help, eat 'em. Why is it someone else's business whether or not it's placebo?

Thanks. Seems to be a lot going on there, kinda like poking a hornets' nest with a stick? Set the controls for the heart of the Sun.

Except one of these things interacts directly with the Endocannabinoid system, so while WHAT those effects are still needs to be studied, they are acting on human biology. Himalayan sea salt, like "moon-water" (google that for a laugh) has got no special chemistry.
