Not for me. Not going to lie stuff seems like snake oil fad to me. (No offense, I am pretty sure we have someone here that sells it. I’ll admit I have about zero knowledge on it).
But the rub is my Grandfather is 90 suffers from Alzheimer’s, dementia, and serious back and hip pain.
He used to get up and mosey about some but now he stays in bed until 4pm and back to bed around 10pm. He claims it is too painful to get out of bed.
Meds tear up his stomach and he says bring little relief.
At this stage in the game I don’t see it hurting to give it a try.
I have two little old ladies that sit in front of us at Mass and they talk to each other about it and both swear by it.

I’m going to give it a try in the near future. Suppose to be a lot of benefits to it including sleep but be wary of who or where you get it from, could be a knockoff that has no benefits or contain THC. If you have about 50 minutes listen to this Skillset podcast on CBD.

Find the local storefront and talk to people until you find a store staffed by what seem to you to be sane adults who aren't in any rush to promise you the moon and stars. The OK stuff is no more than .3% THC (max allowed under the latest Federal Farm Bill) and will be labeled as such if there's any THC at all; a lot of the purified stuff (topicals, food, vape juice, etc.) have no THC at all. Can't speak to topical or oral, but smoking seems to be more effective more quickly than vaping or tinctures - but man, it can be harsh on the throat.

Now that it's legal (sorta maybe), some lab somewhere might do some real scientific tests on it to see if it really has any beneficial effect. Until that happens, I'll reserve judgment.

Helped me with a pretty painful injury. I was hurting too bad for physical therapy; 3 days of good oil morning and evening and I could resume. I used it for about a month, quit when I felt I didn't really need it anymore. From what I've seen, stuff here in KY is all pretty good, but we have a long history of cultivating the weed.

My doctor gave me some for my knee.

The stuff is MAGIC, it really gave me almost instant relief.

Doc told me to NOT buy it from the street front retailers. He has his own pharmacy in his own building, and he and the pharmacist assured me theirs was proper strength, clean from any other crappy ingredients, was pure, etc. It has NO thc in it.

I'm a believer, it worked, and works, for me, but I got mine through a legitimate licensed pharmacy, and it wasn't cheap, but by golly it works!!

I was pretty firmly set on my opinion it was all BS.....now I’m uncertain about that.
My BIL is in the early stages of Parkinson’s...shitty disease! He has obvious hand tremors and his gait is unsteady at times with some balance issues. I happened to be at his house visiting my sister and he was trying the CBD for the first time.....an hour after taking it I noticed his gait had improved but I still thought it was just my hopeful imagination....I stopped him and told him to hold his hand out in front of him...it was as steady as a rock! I couldn’t believe it...it was very obvious that there was a huge difference for the better....I was very excited for him....and now, I think the CBD actually helped...I have no explanation to the contrary as to the marked improvement.

My daughter uses it on the back legs of her - get this - dog. The dog had an injury that never healed completely. After she applies the stuff, the dog barely limps at all and walks much better. The improvement lasts about 8 hours.

I have no need but, my friends, many long-time athletes all swear by it. All have various issues with knees, hips, back, shoulders and neck, and all have found relief with taking CBD products. All have taken heavy duty prescription pain killers in the past and hated what it did to them, one is paying the price as his kidneys are failing, another is lined-up for dual knee replacements. I know they take capsules and use the topical oils and creams, I'm sure they've taken edibles however none are potheads or, think of it as being apart of a culture. For them its safe medication, it's getting off of pain pills with crazy side-effects and being able to relax or, move without pain and discomfort.

If you're thinking CBD is some kind of snake-oil, you really need to study up and ask questions. Skepticism is good but, the reality is, weed cultivation has advanced beyond the commune hippie growing his special Afghan variety, to the laboratory where THC (the stuff that gets you high) and CBD (the anti-inflamatory) are separate and the benefits can be utilized.

I've got a big bottle of 200 25mg capsules of CBD oil capsules next to my desk. Got it from Lazarus Naturals online as they give a very nice vet discount (60% off). Been taking it for a few months now every other day or so when I remember. That being said, don't think it does shit for me.. But since it also doesn't seem to hurt any either and I already paid for them, I'm going to take them all. I've taken and paid more for other junk I've taken (like Vitamins) that didn't seem to do shit either..

From what I’ve read, CBD with some THC works better than the hemp stuff with just .003%? They call it the entourage effect. Not saying the low power stuff doesn’t work, but hi test works better. But that stuff could prove problematic for lots of reasons. People who take drug tests, gun owners, etc. probably should avoid the hi test even if legal in your state. I wish it could eliminate some of the pills I take.

It seemed to help our dog when she was having chemo. She’d eat better and not throw up when we started to give her CBD drops before and during the treatment days. I think it’s more than a placebo, at least in this case.

I'm skeptical myself and have wondered about the possibility of a placebo effect and general hype surrounding it. I'm hearing ads for it daily and trying to keep an open mind...but I'm concerned/ interested to know whether it flags basic employment drug tests, or even basic medical tests ordered by doctors.
