the rub is my Grandfather is 90 suffers from Alzheimer’s, dementia, and serious back and hip pain.
He used to get up and mosey about some but now he stays in bed until 4pm and back to bed around 10pm claims it is too painful to get out of bed.

At his age and in his condition why not give it a try? The stuff isn't addictive and doesn't appear to have bad side effects.

I suffer from herniated discs in my back. It has really acted up the last two months. I keep hearing about CBD and so figure Ill give it a chance. I bought a bottle of the tincture oil from Joy Organics. The oil under the tongue is believed to be the best and most efficient way into the blood system.

Its really hard to decide on a supplier as the product is not regulated. I picked Joy for their transparency. From what I researched you want US grown crops that use CO2 extraction. I like the Joy products because they lab test each batch and post results to the website. $80 a bottle with a promo code was a little pricey but I figure it is worth a shot. Im only three days in so its hard to make any real claims. I have also started to do some light exercise and actually feel better. I dont know if its the CBD, exercise or a combo.

There are some claims of placebo effects but who really gives a shit. If it relieves pain and makes you feel better isn't that all the matters.

I would not be so sure. Vaping was thought to be without risk. Older adults are much more at risk given their multiple meds and chronic conditions. CBD has cardiovascular effects.

CBD seems to be the great experiment of the century. Many of the products will cause failure of drug tests for cannabinoids.

Some place in the Bluegrass is supposed to grow 3 million acres of pot, ooops..hemp. No doubt for medical use. That and cbd products. The stuff is everywhere, even multiple sellers at the local Flea Market. Every gas station sells all manner of pot..ooops..hemp oils stuff also called cbd. They need just to add Viagra and the sales will go through the roof. I've never seen so much pot oils...ooops..cbd stuff in my life. There's even a pot...ooops...hemp farm in Carrolton, KY hireing people ar $16.50 per hour. Thats higher pay than McDonalds by golly... Big Grin. I have read the stuff does help people in many ways. That pot...ooops hemp farm is probably worked by several hundred stoned mexicans as coming here to pick our vegitables is their specialty. I bet they really enjoy working the pot fields...ooops.

When my back flares up, I can take a prescription muscle relaxer or a CDB capsule.
Both work as well as the other. No THC, no buzz.

My 93 yr old Mom uses the ointment and the capsules for her arthritic knees and likes it. She has RX pain pills but doesn’t need them nearly as much if she uses CBD.
She should have had bilateral knee replacements 20 years ago but figured she wasn’t long for this world. Big mistake.

That would be GenCanna
https://gencanna.com/

I am actually very familiar with their growing and harvesting operation. I was fortunate enough a few years back be invited to their main facility for a tour. Few of their employees and scientists spoke and talked about hemp and their operation. Seems like a real solid company.
They spoke about what all hemp is can be used for.
They did not get down to the brass tacks of the CBD or specific medical uses. I am a proponent of hemp for fiber uses certainly and the hemp seeds make for some good snacking seems like.

As for the medical/CBD stuff I have no clue. I certainly would not use it personally but that does not mean it can’t be worth a shot for my grandfather.

Some people get tremendous relief from it. I have tried several different varieties and got nothing. I say it can’t hurt and it seems like a lot of the success stories tend to involve people that have similar symptoms to your grandfather.

Anything that can claim to cure multiple, disparate ills is probably snake oil, but if the THC is removed and there are no other harmful components or side effects, then I see no harm in trying it. As long as it doesn't drain the bank account and it isn't being used to attempt to cure a deadly disease, if the end user "feels" a difference, then why not?

As I learn more about it, I am tempted to see if it helps my father's knee.

Asa Mdical business owner, I have been studying cbd for the past 3 years wirking with various Physicians groups and hospitals. We have been running clinicals and evaluations.
Bottom line:
It all comes down to education.
90% of people selling it have no clue about it and are there to take your money.
3 questions:
1 WHERE was it made?
2 What is it made of
3 Is there a 3rd party Lab test to verify what it says on the label is ACTUALLY in the bottle.

I carry it sell world wide and 90% repeat orders.

I have requested to be listed here they have very strict and high standerds for acceptance:
https://www.projectcbd.org/

This is the BEST site to get facts, as they do not sell anything.
If you have particular questions, email me.

My BIL is in the early stages of Parkinson’s...shitty disease! He has obvious hand tremors and his gait is unsteady at times with some balance issues. I happened to be at his house visiting my sister and he was trying the CBD for the first time.....an hour after taking it I noticed his gait had improved but I still thought it was just my hopeful imagination....I stopped him and told him to hold his hand out in front of him...it was as steady as a rock! I couldn’t believe it...it was very obvious that there was a huge difference for the better....I was very excited for him....and now, I think the CBD actually helped...I have no explanation to the contrary as to the marked improvement.

Yours is the second I've seen for Parkinson's. My dad has had it going on 15 years and yes it's brutal. Going with him to his neurologist this week and I'm going to ask about it. She's already told him no new regular meds to try. Baring some negative interaction with his current meds I'll be finding some for him to try.

Black92lx,
We actually manufacture this where I work. Not the CBD, but products that CBD goes into. Provided you don’t live in a state that we are not permitted to ship CBD products to, I would be happy to send you some to try out for your grandfather. Consider it a karma and pay it forward sometime. Shoot me an email with your shipping address and I’ll send it out.

I just think it's funny that for thousands of years humans used herbs to treat illnesses ( some better than others) but we have become a society dominated by synthetic drugs. I have zero first hand knowledge as to CBD's effectiveness but I'm hopeful it will allow some people to not rely on synthetic pharmaceuticals.

CBD is legal in ALL 50 states.
Regulated under the Dept of AGRICULTURE, NOT THE FDA.
Learn the difference between ISOLATES and Full Spectrum and ONLY buy Full Spectrum.

CBD is all about education and if a seller can't educate you RUN away.
That is Vape shops and even the big drug chains and supermarkets.
Buy from someone that understands the science behind it.
Learn about the endocannabanoid system, body receptors and Systemic Balance.
CBD Oils are systemic The entire body system benefits and works on problems from the inside out.

Actually, North Carolina (I think it was) just banned it again since it makes it difficult to prosecute marijuana (the stuff with THC that gets users high) violations.

CBD has 3/10ths of 1% THC init Pot is 35%
Only a very very very strict drug test would be triggered by CBD. There are water soluble CBD's that contain 0% cbd.
I have not heard of any state banning CBD. But I have talked to the FDA and President Trump wants standards to be put in place (which I would love) to get rid of the bogus crap being sold from India, Pakistan, China and Turkey.
The President wants to pay back Big Pharmas F-U when he requested them to roll back their pricing and instead, they raised them.FDA Found insecticides and pesticide contamination and little if any CBD in the product at all....
