Didn’t someone once say, “Never interrupt the enemy when he is making a mistake”?

If everything you mention is what it took to finally make a (slim) majority of the otherwise clueless electorate realize and understand what sorts of programs and people they’ve been voting for in the past, then I don’t want the Leftists to feel that cold wind blowing and wake up themselves.

Yeah, yeah; it was just an aberration, and nothing to worry about or to change your policies over. Keep on keeping on.

I hope they never get a clue.

So if I understand the media narrative - the people in VA who voted for the racist Youngkin are not the same Virginians who voted for Sears and the AG?

I'm only now starting to read about this lady, but what I've read thus far is really interesting.

Youngkin / McAuliffe

white 60 / 40

black 13 / 86

Hispanic 55 / 44

Race relations will never improve if the black community continues to vote as a block for DEMs

My nearby city of Danville never fails to vote Democratic in every election.

Take away the black vote in Danville, it would be Red for the past 20 years.

Sounds like they called NJ for Murphy. That sounds like a bunch of bullshit to me. I hope Big Jack takes this to court. Some funny crap going on in Bergen County last night.

With 100% reporting last night, Bergen County had Big Jack up 52-47 with a 40,000 vote lead. Come the morning, that lead magically flipped with Murphy now with 52% of the vote. Their excuses for this are a bunch a bull as far as I'm concerned.

^^^I believe a VERY detailed, thoroughly scrutinized and completely transparent re-count is called for in this extremely tight NJ Governor's race! I'm certainly NOT holding my breath though, as we're talking about 'New Jermany' here... Roll Eyes

Not surprised about the New Jersey race unfortunately...there's generations of election rigging and fixing.

What I am surprised about is how Minneapolis mayor Jacob Frey, secured a second term. Is Minneapolis, like Portland, that Frey was the most reasonable and level-headed in a field loaded with extremist and ideological candidates?

This seemed like the place to post this; hope it’s ok.

I have no idea why it’s not official, but Republican candidate, Ann Davison, holds a 20 point lead over the Dem, Nicole Thomas-Kennedy to become Seattle City Attorney.

Thomas-Kennedy is apparently a bonafide wacko, sought to “upend the criminal justice system.” Davison changed political party to declare herself Republican. Anyway, Seattle!

Republicans have taken control of the House of Delegates. As of Wednesday evening, the makeup is now 52-48, with Republicans in control.

Not all bad in NJ. GOP Ed Durr beat big money Sweeney with a $153 campaign spending. All votes counted and Durr is up by 4 points yet AP still not calling it for Durr. Frown Frown

Yeah, that's incredible. Sweeney is like the Chuck Schumer of New Jersey. The fact that a truck driver crushed him by spending less than $200 on his campaign is quite something. Sweeney is big time NJ politics.

For weeks, Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and her leadership team had worked to strike a deal with Manchin and fellow centrist Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (D-Ariz.) on the front end before bringing Biden’s Build Back Better plan to the floor, a strategy Democrats believed would smooth the bill’s path to the president’s desk.

But Manchin has refused to sign off on the package, saying Wednesday that the GOP’s electoral victories in Virginia on Tuesday should cause Democrats to pump the brakes of Biden’s $1.75 trillion spending plan.

Frustrated House leaders instead pressed their foot on the gas pedal, pledging to bring both the Senate-passed infrastructure package and social safety net bill to the floor…

One of my students sent me this: Apparently early on in the campaign his staffer took this picture and they tweeted it out.

I am taking a selfie with him at the same time. I didn't realize they were also taking a picture:

It wouldn’t surprise me a bit to learn that the spending plan stalemate was intentionally orchestrated to use the Virginia elections as a referendum and give the Democrat leadership cover to moderate the extreme left. I don’t think the people in leadership say what they truly believe, they say what is politically expedient at the time. They know these far left policies are nuts and now they have the political cover to rein them in.
