Douglas Wilder did not endorse McAuliffe.
Wilder was angry that McAuliffe jumped in to the DEM primary and eclipsed two DEM black female candidates trying to be DEM candidate for Gov.
Wilder was very public w his "unhappiness".

Wilder even said Youngkin made more campaign promises re Historically Black Colleges than McAuliffe or Northam ever did.

Youngkin ran on opening up a broader REP base.

I expect Youngkin will try to show the black community they will prosper more under a REP administration than they did under DEMs.

Youngkin will do that w emphasis on economic improvement and not on pandering w welfare.

We will see if a significant portion of black Virginians appreciate fair and firm law enforcement.

Also how the black community reacts to a tearing down of CRT in Virginia schools.

MHO - the black community has a lot to lose if they generally continue the mantra that the United States is an inherently racist and white supremacy driven society.
What I am seeing on the ground is that people are reacting to seeing their children being taught that their parents are racist.
It will not be tolerated. A line has been crossed.

That's an interesting twist. Olive branch? Shrewd maneuver? Something else?

Winsone sears was part of Wilder's campaign back in the 90s. IIrc she shared a photo of herself on his acceptance podium a few years back.

I suspect, and it is my conjecture only, that Winsome's conversion to a more center right advocate pulled along Wilder.

I still remember Rush's bits on wilder back in the 90s.

For what ever it is, Wilder was the states first (african american the vernacular of the 90s) governor. He carries a great deal of political mass in much of the political community here in Va.

Having him endorse Younkin and his former staffer Winsome will go a long way to bringing more of Virginia's independent voters to the center-right.

Trans Teen Pleads No Contest To Second Loudon County School Assault, To Face Sentencing In December

https://www.zerohedge.com/poli...-sentencing-december

A teenager, who identifies as “gender fluid,” in one of Virginia’s most populous counties on Monday pleaded no contest to assaulting a girl in a school bathroom last month.

The same teen in October was found guilty of sexually assaulting a different girl at a different high school in Loudoun County in May.

The no contest plea means the boy did not challenge the charges, which were felony abduction and misdemeanor sexual battery. The 15-year-old admitted to abducting a girl from a hallway inside Broad Run High School in Ashburn and forcing her into an empty classroom, where he touched her chest area, authorities said.

The Epoch Times was told the hearing was closed to the press.

The boy, who has not been named publicly, was reportedly in ankle chains at the court hearing and will stay locked up until next month.

He was previously convicted of forcible sodomy and forcible fellatio, both felonies.

Pamela Brooks, the chief judge of the county’s Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court, has combined the cases.

She will sentence the boy on Dec. 13.

The maximum sentence would see the boy land in prison until his 21st birthday, Loudoun County Commonwealth’s Attorney Buta Biberaj, a Democrat, told reporters Monday in a press briefing after the hearing.

“Is it appropriate? We have to wait for the information to make that determination,” she said.

Juvenile code gives the court “a very wide latitude” as far as the sentencing, according to Biberaj.

Prosecutors and the court will take into account the results of a social history, which will examine the boy’s background and the offenses he committed.

The main goals of the juvenile court system are safety and rehabilitation, the prosecutor said.

ABC7 spoke to the teen suspect’s mother who told 7 News I-Team Reporter Scott Taylor

“My son is young and has a lot to learn. I hope he is given the opportunity to be better.”

The first assault in May at Stone Bridge High School in Ashburn set off a series of events.

The father of the girl that was assaulted, Scott Smith, later went to a school hearing to speak out about what happened. Smith was arrested there for disorderly conduct. He was convicted but has argued the arrest was unwarranted and that he was told by a local activist that his daughter was lying about what happened.

During the hearing, Loudoun County Superintendent Scott Ziegler falsely said school officials had no records of assaults occurring in bathrooms.

He later said he misunderstood the question and has refused to step down.

Ziegler made the claim during a school board meeting on a pro-transgender policy that lets students who claim to be a different gender than their biological sex use different bathrooms.

The school board later approved the policy proposal.

Parents have also pushed for the resignation of school board members, who were informed before the hearing of the May alleged assault but did not counter Ziegler’s false statement.

Virginia’s recently-elected attorney general, Jason Miyares, has vowed to investigate sexual assaults in the school system and Loudoun County hired an outside law firm to independently review how the assaults were handled.

It’s unclear why the boy was allowed to transfer to another school, where he abducted and assaulted the second girl. Biberaj’s office has not responded to requests for comment and asked for more time to fulfill a records request filed by The Epoch Times.

They CONVICTED the father of disorderly conduct, but have done NOTHING to the asshole who threatened the parents at the school board meeting with bringing in his 1000 man army "locked and loaded"?

Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS), the school district that has become a political hotbed amid an alleged rape coverup and the implementation of Critical Race Theory, is seeing a “mass exodus” of students that is set to cost millions of dollars in state funding

The outlet reported that enrollment “is down 7% from projections that align with the rate of population growth in the county,” which could translate to a loss of $7 million in state funding.

Despite the decline in students, LCPS is still asking Richmond to maintain current levels of state funding

I wonder if this is the “writing on the wall” or just the natural cycle of things. The republicans had a lot of retirements going into 2020.

Unrelated and probably known to most, for the unaware, Speier survived serious gunshot injury at the Jonestown mass murder in 1978.

Wait WUT!! I had never heard of this

"Speier entered politics by serving as a congressional staffer for Congressman Leo Ryan. Speier was part of his November 1978 fact-finding mission organized to investigate allegations of human rights abuses by Jim Jones and his Peoples Temple followers, almost all of whom were American citizens who had moved to Jonestown, Guyana, with Jones in 1977 and 1978.[2]

Several Peoples Temple members ambushed the investigative team and others boarding the plane to leave Jonestown on November 18. Five people were killed, including Ryan. While trying to shield herself from rifle and shotgun fire behind small airplane wheels with other team members, Speier was shot five times and waited 22 hours before help arrived.[11] The same day, over 900 remaining members of the Peoples Temple died in Jonestown and Georgetown in a mass murder-suicide."

Sorry for continuing the sidetrack, very interesting

DOJ whistleblower challenges Garland testimony, says FBI counterterrorism tool used on parents

https://justthenews.com/govern..._campaign=newsletter

A Justice Department whistleblower has provided Congress evidence that FBI counterterrorism assets were involved in the investigation of parents protesting school policies, prompting a key GOP lawmaker to question the "accuracy and completeness" of Attorney General Merrick Garland's recent testimony.

Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio., the top Republican on the House Judiciary Committee, released an unclassified internal FBI email from last month showing the bureau's counterterrorism chief Timothy R. Langan Jr., through a deputy, jointly sent instructions with the criminal division chief to FBI officials to use a "threat tag" to track any complaints involving parents and school officials.

"We ask that your offices apply the threat tag to investigations and assessments of threats specifically directed against school board administrators, board members, teachers, and staff," the email stated. "The purpose of the threat tag is to help scope this threat on a national level and provide an opportunity for comprehensive analysis of the threat picture for effective engagement with law enforcement partners at all levels."

You can review the document here.

Jordan wrote Garland saying the email appeared to conflict with the attorney general testimony last month. "You testified that the Department and its components were not using counterterrorism statutes and resources to target concerned parents at school board meetings," Jordan wrote.

"We have now received a disclosure from a Department whistleblower calling into question the accuracy and completeness of your testimony," Jordan wrote. "...This disclosure provides specific evidence that federal law enforcement operationalized counterterrorism tools at the behest of a left-wing special interest group against concerned parents." You can read his letter here.

File

Jordan ask Garland to amend his testimony or clarify why the FBI sent the instructions.

A Justice Department spokesperson did not immediately respond to a request for comment Tuesday evening.

But an FBI official told Just the News that "threat tags" are commonly used inside the bureau in recent years to help criminal and counterterrorism probes track trends and statistical evidence. "The creation of a threat tag in no way changes the long-standing requirements for opening an investigation, nor does it represent a shift in how the FBI prioritizes threats," the official said.

The official also sought to distance the FBI from Garland's original instructions to investigate parental threats and the school board association letter that suggested protesting parents might be domestic terrorists. The school board group has since rescinded the letter and apologized.

"The FBI has never been in the business of investigating parents who speak out or policing speech at school board meetings, and we are not going to start now," the official said. "The FBI’s mission is to protect the American people and uphold the Constitution. These are dual and simultaneous and not one at the expense of the other."

Current and former FBI officials said the email cited by Jordan appeared to be an aberration from normal FBI practices. Usually, they said, the FBI sends out such instructions in what is known in bureau parlance as an "electronic communication" and cites case number of investigation. But this instruction was sent out over normal email and even included a colorful logo header, which they said was not typical.

Did Garland lie while under oath? If so, he needs to see what it’s like on the receiving end of a criminal investigation.

Democrats' hot new midterm strategy: Getting "aggresive" on CRT?

Democratic strategists say the party should hit back harder against “divisive” GOP claims [about CRT] while not losing sight of the priority for voters; the economy.

“On a political level it’s a real threat that is allowing Republicans to claw back the inroads that Democrats have made in the suburbs over the last couple of election cycles,” said Jim Manley, a longtime aide to former Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid.

Democrats haven’t yet pushed back on this issue enough, but the “good news” is the party’s response is effective and there’s time to make the case before the 2022 elections, said Jesse Ferguson, a Democratic strategist. They just need to make the case “relentlessly,” he said.

“Voters run from the Republicans when Democrats peel back the onion on what these claims really mean,” he said. “It’s not just that Republicans want a bigger role for parents in education, it’s that Republicans are willing to let White supremacists write curricula.”

NY State High School Teacher's Presentation Alleges America Is More Racist Now Than 200 Years Ago

An 11th grade English class at a New York state high school included a presentation that mirrored critical race theory, telling students that America and white people are racist.

According to screenshots obtained by nonprofit parent group Parents Defending Education, a Powerpoint shown to students at Great Neck North High School featured a number of slides on race that appeared to portray the U.S. as a systemically racist country that has not progressed since its founding, and claimed that every white person is racist based solely on their skin color.

One slide asserted that racism in America is "systemic," "as old as America itself," "no better today than it was 200 years ago" and "changing and evolving in more subtly sinister ways."

It went on to allege that "White people benefit from this system, intentionally or unintentionally, which makes us all (technically) racist*, including myself," suggesting that the teacher showing the presentation was white.

The presentation further alleged that white people "harbor significant fragility when discussing race" before claiming that such "manifestations of fragility" include getting defensive or angry, experiencing guilt and becoming tearful.

The Powerpoint also featured a slide on the "Functions of White Fragility," which included hijacking a conversation, protecting white privilege and taking race off the table.

Additionally, the class' current readings included "How to Be an Antiracist" by Ibram X. Kendi and "White Fragility: Why It's So Hard for White People to Talk About Racism" by Robin DiAngelo.

pour it on DEMs. Keep telling white people they are all racist. 2022 midterms might be a lot of fun.

fragility - Nope
defensive - Nope
experiencing guilt - Nope
tearful - Nope
white privilege - nope

Angry - we will take our anger and turn it into energy to defeat the bigoted DEM frauds and race hustlers in Nov 2022

Roll Eyes If a white teacher admits to being a racists, particularly in a vague enough way to suggest that the white teacher doesn't fully understand the depth and form of his own racism, then how can the teacher's students trust that teacher to tell them the truth about racism?

As for the anger, it hurts the Dems in two ways. It doesn't just turn off voters. It also encourages Dem flacks to attack without provocation, to lie and to cheat - all of which can be seen to have fueled counter-reactions in the Virginia election.
