97, heat index is 99. Dew point is 70, with a wind from the South at 12 mph at times. The relatively low dewpoint and breeze helps.

Spoke two minutes too soon, it's 98.

I can tell you that it is, indeed, cooler by the lake. We call it "The Big Air Conditioner."

I live in Illinois on a lake 11 miles from Missouri and just out of habit I look at the temp on my car while on the bridge crossing into Illinois and than look as I’m pulling into my driveway. It’s almost always 7 degrees cooler at my house. Supposed to be 99 today but the only thermometer I have is my car so I’m not sure how accurate that 99 is.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

Louisville 94. Weather Underground says it feels like 109. That seems like a stretch but it is sweltering.
