I was watching one of the 12 PM news channels and they were interviewing a resident of Banner Elk, NC. He said that he was told they probably would not get electricity there until 3 months. Winter is coming and it will be cold in those mountains really soon.

What are the plans to get election procedures and voting equipment into those area that have suffered damage and destruction?

Since these areas tend to being “red” in political orientation, lessening the total votes from these areas in those States would have the tendency to increase the “blue” vote count overall.

As tight of a race as this Election is, every vote needs to happen and to be counted. It’s plain to see that a less than positive response by FEMA is happening which impacts on the daily lives of the suffering.

^^^ This is one of the reasons that Trump was encouraging as many people as possible to vote early.

There are a number of reasons to encourage our voters to vote early.
Carl DeMaio, a San Diego area Reform activist, notes that voters have shown up on Election Day and been told they've already voted. They can cast a provisional ballot, but it WILL NOT BE COUNTED in many cases.

Don't give the Dems any advantages!

Call your congressman and ask them why FEMA can sit on this money and also fund illegal immigrants.

Now we have mysterious "black SUVs" creeping around a supply delivery, and an unmarked black UH-60 hovering over a no-fly zone damaging that which has been delivered! If this isn't government interference in rescue operations, the just what the hell is it???

Article from the Western Journal (just close pop-ups to read)

Edit to add: Multiple videos of the incident are included in the above link...

It was a NC Nat Guard copter trying to deliver generators to the site. They pulled away once they saw their rotor wash was causing damage. The crew is grounded pending investigation.

Thanks for the update. Just now getting back around to checking on things and hadn't seen the update yet!

One question remains... why an all-black helo without markings then if it was NCNG? Just curious...

Dark OD can appear black at a distance and/or in fading light. And military choppers have black (mostly) markings. Probably hard to make out from the ground in the morning/evening.

Apparently the official color is called "Helo Drab Green".

Pretty sobering insight to the bureaucracy, egos and governmental incompetence around the Western NC area. Give it a listen, about 60-minutes.
These are the guys were working around the Lake Lure-area, which seems to be rife with petty-tyrants wanting to control the flow of emergency efforts.

The Army’s helicopters are a really dark green which is nearly black. They also don’t have roundel* markings like AF/Navy/USMC helicopters do and not sure why but it’s been that way for a long long time. Just “United States Army” in black and it’s virtually impossible to see unless it’s on the ground.

Roundel they don’t use that the other services do:

Nursing homes in North Carolina still without water in Hurricane Helene aftermath

"For two weeks we've been unable to shower or wash hands," an elderly resident wrote in a letter obtained by ABC News.

https://justthenews.com/govern..._campaign=newsletter

Some nursing homes in western North Carolina are still without water in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene.

According to a report from ABC News, nursing home called Brooks-Howell in Asheville is still without power and water.

"For two weeks we've been unable to shower or wash hands," an elderly resident wrote in a letter obtained by the outlet. "Maintaining hygiene with hand sanitizers is a constant must."

"Another example is having to pour a bucket of water into the tank of the toilet in order to flush. And keep in mind that our residents are old and not used to such physical activity," the letter written by resident James Greene continues.

Brooks-Howell is not the only nursing home impacted by the hurricane and the lack of running water could lead to diseases and infections.

The vice president of operations for Ascent Healthcare Management which runs retirement facilities in western North Carolina says three of the homes still don't have running water.

Hurricane Helene hit Florida a few weeks ago as a Category Four storm, and caused disastrous damage in Georgia, North and South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia.

And homeowners are also without water:

After hurricane, with no running water, residents organize to meet a basic need

It is important to note this occurred PRIOR to the election.

At a minimum, it is a Hatch Act violation.
It is absolutely a violation of 42 USC section 1983, 1985, and 1986, which means EVERYONE involved has no qualified immunity from personal civil liability.
At a maximum, it is violation of civil rights under color of authority.

President Trump, burn FEMA to the ground and start over.

Foxnews.com: FEMA official directed hurricane relief workers to avoid homes with Trump signs as agency conducts cleanup Florida Gov. DeSantis slammed the 'blatant weaponization' by the agency By Sarah Rumpf-Whitten Fox News Published November 8, 2024 9:14pm EST | Updated November 8, 2024 9:33pm EST

A Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) official has been removed from a role after directing disaster relief workers to skip homes "advertising" support for President-elect Trump after the devastating hurricanes in Florida.

In a statement to Fox News Digital, a FEMA spokesperson said the agency is "deeply disturbed" after the incident," noting the official who gave the instruction "was given no direction to tell teams to avoid these homes."

"While we believe this is an isolated incident, we have taken measures to remove the employee from their role and are investigating the matter to prevent this from happening ever again," the spokesperson said.

"The employee who issued this guidance had no authority and was given no direction to tell teams to avoid these homes, and we are reaching out to the people who may have not been reached as a result of this incident."

The Daily Wire first obtained internal messages about the incident.

In messages obtained by the outlet, a FEMA official instructs workers to "avoid homes advertising Trump."

The outlet noted the aid workers would enter into a system tracking applications that they made no contact with the residents, blaming the directive — "Trump sign, no contact per leadership."

The agency said it is investigating the incident and is taking it "extremely seriously."

FEMA noted after hurricanes Helene and Milton the agency has helped over 365,000 households and provided over $898 million in direct assistance.

"We are horrified that this took place and therefore have taken extreme actions to correct this situation and have ensured that the matter was addressed at all levels," the agency said. "Helping people is what we do best, and our workforce across the agency will continue to serve survivors for as long as it takes."

In a statement on X, the U.S. House Oversight Committee and Rep. James Comer, R-Ky., said the person responsible for sending out guidance to employees has not been fired.

"FEMA hasn’t fired this person…But the IRS has been trying to force IRS whistleblower Gary Shapley out for blowing the whistle! We must hold these unelected bureaucrats accountable," Comer wrote on X.

"FEMA admits this happened but doesn’t say if the bureaucrat responsible has been fired," the House Oversight Committee wrote on X. "Democrats relentlessly defend the rules that insulate unelected bureaucrats from accountability and make it nearly impossible to fire bad employees. This is why we need President Trump’s reforms to make bureaucrats accountable."

In a statement on X, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis announced his administration is launching an investigation into FEMA.

"The blatant weaponization of government by partisan activists in the federal bureaucracy is yet another reason why the Biden-Harris administration is in its final days," DeSantis said. "At my direction, the Division of Emergency Management is launching an investigation into the federal government's targeted discrimination of Floridians who support Donald Trump.

"New leadership is on the way to D.C. and I'm optimistic that these partisan bureaucrats will be fired."

The discovery of mismanagement came after the Biden administration lectured people about spreading "disinformation" about FEMA.

During a White House address on the government's response to hurricanes Milton and Helene, President Biden denounced the "reckless, irresponsible and relentless disinformation and outright lies that continue to flow."

"That $750 that they're talking about? Mr. Trump and all those other people know it's a lie to suggest that's all they're going to get," Biden said during an address in October. "It's just bizarre. They got to stop this. They're being so damn un-American with the way they're talking about this stuff."
