My friend in Old Fort has collected 85 packages of bottled water and 60 boxes if food and non perishables. FEMA filled into town this morning and told them to stop helping. Basically forced them to stop helping their neighbors. What is wrong with this fucking picture? FEMA should get out of the way.

Woke up today.. Great day! |
Bbbut our government says that’s not happening. Yet there are countless reports from people trying to help. Wish I know the truth. Don’t believe the other grandiose conspiracy theories but between this and shutting down private drones in the airspace gives me pause. I would really hate to find out they are this evil or just incompetant.

Buttfuck telling drone pilots they cannot look for survivors and arresting pilots flying in supplies. The feds are doing everything they can to maximize the casualty count. This is deliberate and not an accident.

I'd tell FEMA to fuck off and I'd carry on handing out food and water to those that need it. If asking for charity is a protected form of free speech, giving charity is a protected action as well. I'd go head-to-head legally (42 USC 1983) with any FEMA fuckwit who tried to stop me. Nice is overrated "It's every freedom-loving individual's duty to lie to the government." You know what I haven’t heard about happening? Looting… I’m sure there’s some, But I bet there’s a high percentage of gun owners in the population of the area. Suppose that might have something to do with it. Collecting dust.

What about the convoy of semi’s with relief supplies that had their tires slashed. The stuff wasn’t stolen. The tires were destroyed so the supplies couldn’t get distributed. Sounds like a Mayorkas operation

https://lists.theepochtimes.co...3SBI8Sbkr/uCrNMKcEQM FEMA Issues Warning on False Helene ‘Rumors,’ Launches Response Page The agency posted a ‘rumor response’ page this week after claims spread online about its efforts in North Carolina. The U.S. Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) released a “rumor response” page in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, which caused significant damage across western North Carolina late last month. In an update on Oct. 3, FEMA responded to statements issued online about the agency’s response to the disaster, including whether it is running out of funding due to payments and efforts made to fly illegal immigrants into parts of the United States. “FEMA has enough money right now for immediate response and recovery needs. If you were affected by Helene, do not hesitate to apply for disaster assistance as there is a variety of help available for different needs,” the agency wrote. It also said that “no money is being diverted” from federal Helene disaster response efforts and that claims that “funding for FEMA disaster response was diverted to support international efforts or border related issues” are “false.” The agency did not provide specific examples of the online claims about its funding that it described as false. Earlier this week, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott wrote that Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, the Department of Homeland Security, and FEMA should “immediately stop spending money on illegal immigration resettlement and redirect those funds to areas hit by the hurricane” and “put Americans first.” He was responding to Mayorkas’s comments to reporters that FEMA, overseen by his agency, “does not have the funds” to make it until the end of the 2024 Atlantic hurricane season, which is Nov. 30. “We are meeting the immediate needs with the money that we have,” Mayorkas told a press gaggle on Air Force One. “We are expecting another hurricane hitting. We do not have the funds. FEMA does not have the funds to make it through the season and ... what is imminent.” The Epoch Times contacted DHS and FEMA for comment on Friday but received no reply by publication time. “The Biden–Harris administration took more than a billion tax dollars that had been allocated to FEMA for disaster relief and used it to house illegal aliens,” Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) wrote on X. “Now, they’ve abandoned American hurricane victims in North Carolina, Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, and Tennessee.” cont...

While I hate the devesation an event like Helene brings, the response of people to the event gives me hope. I'm about 4 hours away and safe. This tragedy doesn't have to personally affect me or my neighbors and friends at all...but it does. I know so many people that have donated items. I and many of my friends have already been in the area to assist in any way we can. My wife took a truck load of donated goods up today and will spend the next 3 days in Boone making hot meals for the red cross to distribute. So many people are just showing up to help in any way they can and not just letting the burden fall to others. It's good to know that when there are those in real need, people will show up and prove that humanity is not as divided and uncaring as it seems that all media would have us believe. ____________________ I Like Guns and stuff

I served as a FEMA reservist from 2001 to 2022. I could have told you exactly what was going to happen with the Federal response to the N.C. disaster. FEMA always allows itself to be portrayed as a Federal 911. However, about all they do is write checks. There are times when their operations team can help facilitate mission assignments but usually it is too little and too late. As a retired state trooper, I would many times observe a serious situation but when I tried to report it I was told to “stay in my lane”! Every disaster I was deployed to resulted in the same scenario. FEMA actually has a PIO (Public Information Officer) team but in reality they are nothing but “spin doctors”. The old time reservists like me had a saying, if it is not a disaster before FEMA gets there, it sure will be after they arrive. I stayed with it for over 20 years because there were times when I could actually help a survivor. However, usually this meant that I had to bend the rules to make it happen. My prayers are with the survivors of this disaster for they will need them. Trooper Joe

We lost about 7 grocery bags of groceries. It was a few hundred dollars of food. Going to look to see what programs are available to get some assistance with recovering something such as vouchers. _____________

guns do you actually believe anything put out by Mayorkas and the feds of course they're going to deny it - they're democrats they're doing to NC what they did to the border states - facilitate the devastation and threaten to arrest and jail anyone that gets in their way

I will grant him all those as conspiracy theories. Now will someone tell me if Elon Musk is lying when he says his SpaceX colleague reports that FEMA is preventing them from deploying StarLink units? Link When Tim Kennedy of Save Our Allies says that security guards turned his rescued families away from a hotel because rooms were reserved for FEMA employees? Link There's lots more, it's hard to find the links. Local LEO's threatening to arrest FEMA employees? There is a lot of stuff on X, few videos to substantiated the stories. I just donated to Save Our Allies; their Tim Kennedy is flying in and out doing rescue and recovery efforts. Based on what I've seen on X and what I saw after the Lahaina disaster, I am extremely skeptical that FEMA is doing more good than harm, particularly in the first days after a disaster. Then when they do show up, they take up the few remaining hotel rooms for their crowd. Why can't they sleep in tents? _________________________ “Remember, remember the fifth of November!"

I guess it couldn't possibly be that FEMA doesn't want random helicopters, airplanes, and drones hampering search and rescue efforts. No, the only acceptable explanation is a government conspiracy. You guys win.

I’ve seen many videos of civilian rotary wing aircraft there running in supplies and pulling out victims. Can you link me a few videos of government aircraft working the area? From what I’m hearing they’re doing everything they can to prevent the people from doing what needs to be done, and then taking credit themselves for what they haven’t been able to prevent.
