That is EXCELLENT, bendable!! "If you’re a leader, you lead the way. Not just on the easy ones; you take the tough ones too…” – MAJ Richard D. Winters (1918-2011), E Company, 2nd Battalion, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne "Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil... Therefore, as tongues of fire lick up straw and as dry grass sinks down in the flames, so their roots will decay and their flowers blow away like dust; for they have rejected the law of the Lord Almighty and spurned the word of the Holy One of Israel." - Isaiah 5:20,24

Evidently she is taking heat as she published a justification on FB that the vigil was for the families. Nonetheless, I regard her as a Bible non-believer as 'Thou Shalt not Steal' has been commanded for centuries. "It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye". For me it would the interest of self preservation. Regardless of how much empathy I'd have for the families' grief, I would know I had only defended myself from aggressors. I can live with that. However, if I had only been defending possessions with deadly force, I would be racked with conflicting sensibilities for the rest of my life. You’re a lying dog-faced pony soldier

It took me almost a week to respond to Para's post about his "philosophy on living things." Probably took me so long as I was really surprised. I didn't think there were any, or at least many, who thought like that. See, his "philosophy" is pretty much the same as mine-and my wife's. We won't intentionally or carelessly harm any living creature if it is possible to avoid it. I, too, look where I'm walking so I don't step on some little critter. While we've never had a moth in the house, we find little "baby" chameleons, maybe one a month. These little lizards die if not moved outside as they can't get enough water in our house. So we'll spend an hour or two trying to run one of them down and capture it in a Dixie cup to remove it outside. Even our little dog, PC, has learned not to try to catch them, but to simply find and "point" them out to us. She loves that game. My wife often rescues little frogs who somehow (I have no idea how) wind up in our pool as they can't seem to get back out once they are in. Sure, there's some things on the "hit list" as Para noted. Roaches, Palmetto bugs, and mosquitos. I grew up hunting and fishing, but just don't want to take a life so I don't do those things anymore. Yeah, I still buy meat/fish at the store and I have a friend who brings some venison by from time to time. Perhaps that makes me hypocritical, but I can live with that. But, I would do anything to protect my family or myself from harm. That, at least at this point, seems to be exactly what the homeowner did-protect himself and/or his family. Bob

This story sure fell of the news media radar quickly. No matter how much they searched it was hard to find an angle to exploit. ___________________________ Avoid buying ChiCom/CCP products whenever possible.

It appears that the subjects were armed, had their faces covered, and began throwing shots at the homeowner. At my old address we used to called these things "clues". You buy a ticket...you take the ride.
