Dumb question, I keep hearing more and more about impeachment. Have they figured out what they were going to accuse him of? I am pretty sure Orange Man Bad is not an impeachable offense.

Well, I think the list of impeachable offenses that may or may not have merit have been:

1. Grab 'em by the pussy comment
2. Russia collusion
3. Porn star payout
4. Obstruction <----- YOU ARE HERE

The obstruction thing is funny because it's all based on the "Can you get rid of him?" comment/question to his lawyer, which is based on an investigation based on false information and entrapment.

So.

We'll see where this goes I guess.

Now an obvious typo in a tweet is an admission that Russia got him elected. Freaking lunacy.

2. It will energize the Trump base like you've never seen before AND bring a lot of sympathetic people on board who see this as what it really is: punishment for beating Hillary in 2016

3. It makes the Democrats look completely insane and not reasonable

4. The Senate will shut down any impeachment proceeding quick even if the House goes full-tilt on it.

5. It will result in a huge landslide win for Trump in 2020, making Reagan vs Mondale look like a walk in the park.

============================================
^^^^^^^ Absolutely Correct !

Wait, wait ......

I have one more:

6. In response to the insane call of impeachment a perfect door will be open to Republicans for highlighting the actual evidence - - - that the real collusion was between the Democratic deep state [Executive Branch, FBI, CIA, Fake News ] with Foreign Intelligence operators, Russia, Ukraine and .....who knows who else.

All this will be very beneficial for the education of the electorate.

the country needs to see people held accountable and pay the price, especially if it means trying them on sedition and attempting a coup

we are supposed to be a nation of laws, and if those laws have become perverted, then they're meaningless

personally I need to see people in handcuffs and in prison - don't know about you

the democrats lost the election, the will of the people

what they are saying is that it doesn't matter that we won, it doesn't matter how we voted, we just don't count because we're conservatives

that is not the right answer, and the people that fostered this idea need to be punished harshly and in public as a warning to future dictators

Mueller's show yesterday has triggered a bunch of people.

Fox News Brett Baier:

“But, to hear Robert Mueller say it today, it was much more dialed back. It was much more insufficient evidence to make a case on the broader conspiracy. That is not “no American colluded with the Russians.”

Brett should read the report.

Here are direct quotes from the Mueller report, Vol I page 2

so it takes "substantial, credible evidence" to establish something

also from page 2:

which means Mueller did not have substantial credible evidence of any Trump Campaign conspiracy.

There may have been some news stories planted by Fusion GPS or Steele. Even the dossier. But nothing credible.

1. Not a high crime or misdemeanor. Also happened long before he was in office.
2. Already proven to be bullshit and false
3. At most a fine by the FEC, again happened before he was in office. Impeachment is for "high crimes and misdemeanors" WHILE IN OFFICE
4. Already proven to be false

Democrats can't impeach the man for being mean to them, or for his crime of beating their precious Hillary no matter how much they want to.

Sure they can.

It is nothing more than a simple majority vote.

Of course, it will go nowhere, but they could most certainly impeach him.

Then, we'll have the first American President re-elected after being impeached.

No... Gustofer is correct.

The impeachment of Bill Clinton, the 42nd President of the United States, was initiated in December 1998 by the House of Representatives and Clinton was subsequently acquitted of these charges by the Senate on February 12, 1999.
He was NOT re-elected after being impeached. Bush 43 was elected in 2000.

The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

^^^ Yep.

“And here comes in the question whether it is better to be loved rather than feared, or feared rather than loved. It might perhaps be answered that we should wish to be both; but since love and fear can hardly exist together, if we must choose between them, it is far safer to be feared than loved.”

“it is much safer to be feared than loved because ...love is preserved by the link of obligation which, owing to the baseness of men, is broken at every opportunity for their advantage; but fear preserves you by a dread of punishment which never fails.”

― Niccolo Machiavelli, The Prince
