AmCits?

RumInt?

Let's use the actual words, please. Let's not dehumanize American Citizens any more than our government already has done.

RumInt? Am I supposed to figure this out? When you post, please make an effort to be clear.

AmCit? As in short hand for American Citizen? Those are commonly used terms by anyone who works in this space. Do not ever accuse me of dehumanizing my fellow countrymen. Ever. You dont rate. Ive worked for and along side them my entire adult life. You sit online and bitch about it.

All the people on the sideline not working this in some fashion, stop bitching online and write your congressional representatives demanding action for AmCits. Until the bureaucrats get pressured, things dont change.

to think that we were pissed off about operation fast and furious

Never again will I succumb to any notion of tighter gun laws. Never. You handed our enemies more firepower than can be imagined.

Pretty sure MS13 and its ilk has the dough to get some of that bought and put right back in our asses.

Its a hard pill to swallow that this was an accident by any means. The guys on the ground had to be instructed to leave this shit behind. Seems like a top down decision that make low level incompetence seem not possible.

You wouldn't leave guns and ammo in a village or base and then just walk out without even a thought. How do you know try and blow the shit up before you leave? You must have been ordered to leave it.

One more word out of you Mister Big Shit, and you're gone.

You come in here acting like you're some kind of Goddamned hardcore operator. We don't know anything of the sort about you. We've had plenty of posers come through here. You haven't told us a thing. All you've done is drop these hints about how you're plugged into everything to do with military intelligence.

Just try to be a genuine person. This "You don't rate" shit means nothing here.

And in case you've forgotten, you came to us, not the other way around. Who forced you to regsister here, with all the riff-raff? You registered here because you have shit you want to sell. Well, guess what? That ain't gonna happen.

And....boom. Gone.

Funny thing- people in the military understand chain of command, but not you.

Oh, and BTW, I'm not the only one wondering about you. In the past week, I've had three longtime members contact me about you. You may very well be what all your little hints suggest, but your posting style has alerted some people I know well and whose judgement I trust.

I'll tell you one way you're a phony, and that's with the way you first reacted when I told you about our sales rules- telling me that it's my property and not yours. And then you turn around and refuse to take direction from the owner. I don't know what you do in this life, but in at least one respect, you're a fucking phony. Lip service.

See ya

Just so there is no confusion- I don't want see this silly-ass look-at-me-I-must-be-an-operator-because-I-use-vague-bureaucratic-terms shit in this forum.

AmCits or RumInt or RimJob or whatever. Keep it out of here. Strive to be clear when you post, not cool. We are not impressed by these things. We are merely annoyed by them.

Rumrunners International? Nah, they don't drink...
Ruminating Intellectual? Nah...
Rumbling Interpreter? Maybe? Nah, Rambling Interpreter but that doesn't work...

I'll never know!

While I'm sure it will require lots effort, energy, manpower and resources to get the 'Afghan refugees' out, all the evidence/reporting seems to indicate that's not happening. Also, you fail to mention the THOUSANDS of Americans still in Afghanistan who should be our first & foremost priority, and yet, they seem to NOT be the priority of our government at all here. Heck, they're even stated as much out loud that their priority is the Afghans. From where I sit, the State Dept. and the Military don't even know what the other is doing, and it seems that the 'Administration' has NO Clue what going on with ANYBODY involved/affected/etc!

Calm down please.

The point of my distress and angst is that i see more effort going to getting thousands of refugees out than I have this far the AmCits. There is RumInt as to the “logic” of the priority model, but I cant wrap my own mind around it. Decision makers were entirely flat footed on this.

Its frustrating to watch for sure. Try to remember it is even more so if you’re trying to work the problem and being told to shut up.

Dude, YOU don't need to tell me to calm down, so don't!

We're certainly in agreement that it seems there's WAY more effort/focus on refugees than the Americans in peril. That said, you might consider not using .gov acronyms we have to google to find out what you're talking about. And while we're not all in the loop on 'Washington-speak', trust me, we're at least as frustrated as those 'working the problem'!

Oh, and I pretty sure I'd use stronger language than 'flat footed' when referring the decision makers involved in this debacle!

ETA - Looks like I missed something...Or then again, maybe Not!

Sound familiar? The ass clowns who run Black Rifle Coffee Company have taken the same approach, and it's worked just about as well for them as it did for Mister Big Shit.

I didn't watch the video, but at the risk of being 'indelicate', I don't give a damn about the Afghani's or their plight. Regardless what improvements our presence has created for these people, the costs far outweighed the benefits to us. And that's where I draw the line. Look at the pics of the flights out. All you see are fighting age men running away. If they had any appreciation or desire to maintain the improved life and potential future the US gifted them, they'd we willing to stand up and fight for it. But overall, they aren't. Instead, this young lady and others like her are angry that the US isn't willing to stay in country indefinitely, while committing trillions more US taxpayer dollars and untold numbers of American military lives to protect the life they say they want. Do I find the Taliban disgusting and reprehensible? Absolutely. Do I care what the Taliban inflicts on A-stan going forward? Nope, not at all. But none of that is what's the issue right now.

If someone comes into my home in the middle of the night to do me and mine harm, I will end them, or die trying. I protect that which is important to me. These people appear to have none of that quality.

I only served regular Army for 4 years and ANG for 6 but I too was getting weird vibes from that kiwi dude.

The REAL professionals don’t ever talk about anything they do in front of people like us, the wannabes do. My sister is married to a recently retired USAF PJ who apparently was there at the Bin Laden whacking but I only found out from her and even she barely knows what he really did for nearly 30 years. The rest of us? Not a damn thing.

These real guys don’t need to brag.

Really? Spec ops? Virginia? Subtle, very subtle. Then throw in "his team" and "my team"

Shortly after he joined, the newly banned member spouted off about how many of us posted often on "trivial" threads. Reading his response at that time made me think he was soon to be booted off. And that has come to pass...
Back on topic:
I too am confused about who we actually are removing from the country.
Naturalized American Afghan citizens with passports? Ok!
American citizens? Of course.
Vetted Afghans (and their families) who worked for us and are now in danger? Sure!
But, and this is based on the photo of the plane load of military aged males and other photos of have seen, who else are we hauling out? And of the the 22K supposedly slated to come to MAFB, who are they exactly?
Are we now hauling out just any Afghan who can get on the tarmac?

As I pointed out in the clipped part you didn't quote, she also makes a strong case for why staying was not just in the best interests of the Afghans, but why it was in our best interests as well.

She admits the Afghanistan problem is complicated and acknowledged that some of the blame falls with the Afghan people, so your point about those fighting age young men fleeing on the flights is valid and I agree with you, but she also discusses how many members of the Afghan Army are poor farmers trying to feed their families. She has family members and friends who were in the Army. After long periods of going without pay, after having the U.S. supplied air support they depended on during combat operations suddenly pulled from them in June, and after watching their U.S. allies suddenly release thousands of their Taliban/ al Qaeda enemies from prison after they fought and died trying to capture them, and then watching their U.S. allies suddenly and with no warning abandon Bagram airfield, many are demoralized and in fear for their lives and the lives of their families.

Take the time to at least listen to her point of view before you judge.
