Most would likely turn up their nose at my supply. I accomplished a lot today, so I had an inkling. I had two IPA’s now made a vodka drink.

Someone gifted me some vodka recently, I have various ways to mix it. There are more upper end drinks around here, but the vodka is ok. I don’t think it came from Russia, one is from Wisconsin.

Kronenbourg 1664 Lager. It's better in bottles, but of late I've only seen it in cans.

Visited Mystic Farms this weekend, over in Durham. I highly recommend their “class” on pairing chocolate and bourbon, if you’re in the area and have time.

Their Arcana bourbon is very good, particularly with a 70% or 80% chocolate. And their Broken Oak bourbon is a little hot but very good. (And very expensive.)

God bless America.

Thin mint old fashioned. A good friend came up with this one. Thin mints anyone?

Good timing on this, I just discovered the Paper Plane.

Equal parts Bourbon, Aperol, Amoro, and fresh Lemon Juice. Shake with ice until it's too cold to hold the shaker and serve with lemon garnish. I've started using dried lemon slices, but a twist works. Very nice summertime cocktail!

(perfect for your post-rant relaxation!)

Help isn't far away, Johnny. The Spaten and Paulaner Oktoberfest brews have appeared at one of my local grocery stores. I went with Spaten this time around.
