Smoked the cigar earlier (first one in perhaps two years), had a Budweiser. Night cap will be a wee bit of 12-year-old Glenfiddich.

A friend at work offered me a sample of that just this afternoon. I'm not knowledgeable about Scotch, but I did like it.

^^^ it’s unlike any other scotch. There is no smoky peat flavor. The other lines of it are the same way (double cask, oak barrel)

There's very much other scotches like that. Most Speyside Scotches spend time in sherry barrels. If you want just as good for less money, find Glendronach 12.

Yep. Glendronach, Glenkinchie, Balvenie, Aberlour, and The Dalmore are all good sherry-forward Speyside single malts. The Macallan though, is in a special example of the style imho, even if they're a bit proud of it.

Larceny Barrel Proof (126.6)

I get my drink on maybe 5-6 times a year. USMC birthday I always toast those who have gone before and after me and, most importantly, those who fell answering the call.

This week has provided extra cause for celebration and reflection.

What part of "...Shall not be infringed" don't you understand???
