Congratulations on the acquisition. I’m in the process of acquiring something of a dream ride for me as well. I’ve owned some pretty cool vehicles over the years, but the one I miss the most is the one I drove when I graduated college - a 1997 2 door GMC Yukon SLT 4x4. Well, I’ve put a deposit on, and will soon be acquiring a 1999 Chevy Tahoe 2 door 4x4. It’s rust free and in excellent shape, but my plan is to literally make it brand new again over time, but with some improvements. I’m very excited about this purchase, so I completely understand your excitement as well Stickman. Good luck with your project.

This thread has two of my favorite cars I've owned. RX-7 was used but ran great. What a fun car to take on some empty twisty back roads. Want to hear load crank up a rotor engine with the headers removed. Only had that car for a few months until some idiot in a big truck ran a red light. I lost that battle.

I found 4 oem Acura Integra blade 15in rims for $1k shipped on the fleabay.

lt CHEG, Those late 90’s two door GMC Yukon 4x4s are one of my favorite body styles. A future classic for sure. I had a friend in high school who had a K5 Blazer lifted on 35’s. What a fun vehicle that was. I could tell you some stories of the misadventures we had getting stuck at OBX in the early 2000’s.

I’ve always wanted to get a lowered C10 square body as a motorcycle and project car transporter. Cool

Something like this would be fun.





I showed my wife the “confetti” seats I like for the Integra and to my surprise she likes them too! She HATES black leather interiors and is fully on board with me swapping out the current black leather interior over to this. Now I just need to find a decent set like this. Cool

What condition are your seats? My black leather finally took a crap even though I took care of them. The passenger cracked and the driver has some very hard spots.

Looked are getting new leather for them but the prices places want are more than I am willing to pay. I like your idea of dropping in cloth seats if you can find them.

College friend loaned me a RHD JDM imported Civic SiR hatchback for a weekend, years ago.
It had similar confetti seats, but with a bit more color to them.

Both the passenger and driver seats have tears across the bottom cushion but the seat backs are ok.



If I can find a decent set of cloth seats like the one I posted that’s what I’ll go with.

I need to quit looking at Facebook market. I wonder if the guy is interested in a GS-R? Hahahah just kidding. I learned from selling my candy burning copper Suzuki. I’ll never sell or trade my GS-R. It’s stuck with me and I’m stuck with it. That said this is pretty fricking awesome.

The import market went wild during the decade I became obsessed with motorcycles.

Pretty sweet engine swap and something I’d not seen before. They want $7k for it which is tempting as hell but the interior and body are far from perfect. The interior is worse than my GSR.

J32 would be a 2nd gen TL/CL
J35 would likely be a 3rd gen TL

When I had my EK, I had plans to put a 9k RPM B16B in it.
Champagne dreams on a Keystone budget back then.

This is pretty darn close to how my 7th Gen manual (5 speed) EX looked back in the day.

The 7th Gen doesn’t get much love and is quite affordable. I’d like to own one again. The dang thing got 40mpg easy and was kind of fun to drive. Not GSR fun but still fun for a daily commuter/beater that I took to the beach weekly and rode home soaking wet and with surfboards dripping salt water onto the interior.



This is exactly how the front looked including the RS grill and badge.

I had a 7G [2004] LX auto sedan for a bit. Very dull. But did the job for an efficient commuter.
Had a buddy with an 05 SE with the 10 spoke wheels that I was trying to get for my EK, but I was a broke college student at the time.
The EK 5mt coupe was a lot more fun.

This thing is a hoot! It’s finally street legal. Cool I caught a few stoplights with a drop top BMW 2 series and we both enjoyed accelerating to the speed limit rather quickly.

While leaving Academy tonight a Mustang with a loud exhaust went by me so I revved the GSR a bit. The Mustang proceeded to rev until it bounced off the rev limiter and shot a bits of flame out of its exhausts. That car was LOUD but sounded odd, I don’t think it was a V8.
