I got 2 shots of Moderna in late 2021 right after my 25 year old nephew died of Covid, I’ll admit I got scared and the complete randomness of how it seems to kill people still worries me.

With that being said in hindsight I should have NOT done that and now all these people ranging from 20’s to 60’s in age randomly dropping dead has got me REALLY concerned.

Yes, exactly. As long as it was an individual choice, based on informed consent, I was fine with it.

When the government started using coercion to force people into taking it or losing their opportunity to earn a living, it became a BIG problem.

I have followed this topic closely for over 3 years now... for several reasons. Most of the posts in the main Covid thread are skeptical of the "official narrative" as told by government, pharma, and the MSM. That's not "anti-vax" so much as seeking the truth. It's certainly not anything against those who have chosen to take the vaccine.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

Most of the posts will have nothing to do with your question. It will attract the opposite. Because one thread isn’t enough.

I tried to read the thread and I have substituted coffee for “drink and shot”. I’m on page two, just finished my second cup. I can’t do a third. You win.

I had opportunity to get the vaccine early because of my job, and we got lucky and my wife got a "leftover" dose early on because apparently once a vial is opened they had to 'use it or lose it" and we got her one a couple months later.

After that, we got second doses, and then later, the first booster.

We've stopped since then, not because of any bullshit politics, but because we haven't been affected.

Obviously, with my job, i'm in contact with people of all walks of life, of all beliefs, etc etc. I haven't had a confirmed case of it. I PROBABLY have had it... But I really haven't even felt sick beyond seasonal allergies that i get every spring. (which is odd, because I haven't even gotten my usual sinus infection in the winter for 2 years in a row. I normally get sick with a cold/sinus infection once a year since I was a teenager). The wife has had a couple sicknesses that were like the common cold, but also, not for a year or so.

Maybe different for us, since we are in our late 30's/early 40's and in good health. So neither of us are really that worried at this point, 3 years into this.

For the record, ALL of my family, and extended family, at least 24 of them, have gotten the vaccine and boosters in some form, and NONE of them have had any adverse side effects. I dunno, maybe we are just lucky. Maybe the stories of vaccine troubles are overblown or blamed on it incorrectly. Maybe my family is just genetically superior to those who have problems. Couldn't tell you.

No vaccine family of 5. I work retail (gun shop) we shut down for 2 days for the very first "2 weeks to flatten the curve". Demand for guns was so high we reopened. I have not worn a mask at all except 1 time to fly. We also do gun shows no mask. Pretty sure we had covid in Nov 2019 before it was official, kicked my butt for about a week.

Went back to NOVA for Christmas to see my mom. The 1st morning my FIL is walking around in a mask. He woke up not feeling well tested pos for covid. We never got tested our symptoms 2 weeks of low energy, sinuses stuffed up and drainage cough just the wife and I. 3 kids no effect.

But your game is rigged because the rules only address half of the 'votes'/responses.

Maybe if they would stop all the LYING (and were <gasp> honest from the beginning!), we'd all recognize this 'should' be about personal choice, bodily autonomy, informed consent and one's right to choose whats best for them....Stated another way, Freedom!

After 3 years of Covid in our lives, 4 shots, gallons of hand sanitizer and wearing a mask..I have finally caught the Covid bug over New Years. Go figure. I have been super cautious as I don't want to get it and die. Die like all those who did when this started. Bodies in refrigerated trucks? That's a lot of death when we cant keep up with sending a body to the funeral home.

Flu shots? Have gotten one every year for the past 35 years. Some years I get the flu Sometimes I don't.

I am not here to debate this as I believe everyone is entitled to their own thoughts and opinions on what they want to do to protect themselves.

I am just saying for me, even though I had 4-shots and finally caught Covid, I hope and 'believe' the shots have lessened my symptoms and so far, I am not worried about dying..at least this time around.

I got the first two (Pfizer) shots plus one booster (Got the booster in January 2022). I came down with COVID in October 2022.

I've decided no more COVID shots for me. I have heard too many stories from credible sources about bad side effects of the shots. Also, a close family member has had serious problems with blood clotting after getting the shots and two boosters. Also, a doctor I have known for many years and trust completely told me she doesn't dare speak out about concerns they have with the shots, for fear of negative consequences to her career. Now, normally, these things would not necessarily deter me from getting another booster. There are risks with any vaccine or medical procedure, no matter how "safe" - stuff happens. Also, I am not completely ruling out getting a booster in the future, but don't see myself getting one now.

The problem for me is that our science and medicine has been politicized, and I can't conclude with confidence that the shots are effective and safe. Sources of information I used to trust and believe in are questionable because I cannot tell what agenda they may or may not have. I'm NOT saying ALL sources of information are politicized, just that I can't tell for certain whether I am really getting the truth or not. That's why I am reluctant to obtain another booster.

I am definitely NOT anti-vax - in fact, I gladly got a flu shot in late November last year.

Anyone else feel this way?

I got the first two about two months after they were available for everyone. I came down with a mild case of Covid around the time I was due a booster shot, I figured that was as good as a booster or (more likely) even better. Nothing for me since.

Did the shots help me? Who knows? I suspect they did but of course there is no way that can be proven.

You want to get the shot, great. Don't, that is fine as well. I am glad my elderly parents took the shots + booster.

You do you, I will do me. Maybe one day we can stop yelling at each other over this crap.

I can't conclude with confidence that the shots are effective OR safe! I lean towards neither...

KevinCW- I view the early phase of introduction of creating an image of scarcity and that the connected, lucky and elite were the ones getting it, was part of the early psyops phase of getting as many to take it as possible. We had a thread here on people who supposedly got shots without waiting their turn, and as such, we became part of this psyops campaign.

Seriously, the self appointed 'Masters of the Human Race' wanted EVERYONE on the planet to get this experimental 'vaccine', and expect EVERYONE to continue to get it over and over and over again, seemingly in perpetuity! Think about that... Roll Eyes

My wife and I took the 1st 2 shots (Pfizer-luck of the draw) in order to meet requirements to visit my 95yo Mom. The skilled nursing home required vaccine and negative tests(2) just to visit for an hour a week. Knowing what i know now, i would never get another and regret getting the first ones. My wife has had Covid twice in the last year and was hospitalized in ICU for 1st time. I have not tested positive but i hardly ever get sick anyway. The rest of my family (split vac'd and un-vac'd) all have had it at some point.

At the time I got the Moderna vaccine, it was required by my company to keep our jobs and any counter data was not really available.

I got the 1st booster later on the direction of my Rheumatologist and Orthopedist.

Most recently I chose not to get any additional boosters based upon my reading and consultation with my general doctor. I did get the flu vaccine but we both agreed that COVID does not have any efficacy data to support getting any additional boosters. We also noted the side effect reports that are slowly coming out.

Getting any vaccine is a personal medical choice that should be made with physician guidance and discussion.

Best regards,
