I can say that for me, I'm not anti-vac. In fact I've been vaccinated for almost everything that's been thoroughly tested. I have a very strong distrust with everything to do with how this "vaccine" came to be. It's been used as a political weapon from it's inception. I don't trust the government, the pharma companies, or any of the motives behind this "vaccine".

Now, my view is, to each his own. If you think you should get the vaccine, by all means, go get it. I'm not going to discourage anyone from getting it, but don't go get the vaccine, then tell me that I have to go get it too so that I can't expose you. Wait, but you got the vaccine. So why are you worried about me exposing you. You've been vaccinated so you wouldn't get it.

I have never gotten the shot and won't unless it's given to me against my will.

No vaccine for any of the 5 in my immediate family. 2 adults and 3 kids, no vaccine and no one has gotten Covid either. I don't know if we are lucky or resistant. We didn't take any precautions during the dark days either, so it wasn't from lack of exposure. I wore my mask when it was required and took it off as soon as it was not, didn't avoid going out, didn't social distance.

I was on the fence, it wasn't mandated or pushed where we are/work. My geriatric mother in a nursing home got it early on, my brother is a hypochondriac and got it shortly after. After a couple of months passed and neither of them turned into zombies, I decided what the hell and wife and I got Moderna and the 2nd Moderna. That's it. The whole family caught it way later after it was "all over" in Spring Break 2022 after taking a trip to Kansas City. Our kids have all caught it subsequently a couple of times, it was a big nothing burger for them each time. Hindsight 20/20 I would have saved the gas money and not bothered getting the shot. At least we have the cool membership "papers" as a memento of this great Social Experiment. Right up there with those .gov rebate cards for you to buy digital antenna converters for your analog TVs back in the day.

Nope, not for me.

My mom got the vaccine a couple of years ago with no side effects. My brothers and sister also got the vaccines with no side effects. None of them got any boosters. My mom is 92 now.

A neighbor who lives across the street from me needed to get the vaccine to take his family on a cruise. One morning he went and got the vaccine, later in the afternoon I overheard him tell my next door neighbor he hasn't felt well since he got the vaccine earlier in the day.

When they got back from the 2 week cruise he told me he had chess pains every day while on the cruise. He told me the only reason he got the vaccine was to take his family on the cruise, he wouldn't have gotten it otherwise.

A contractor who put up my fence after hurricane Ida hit told me he had a grandmother, 90 years old, had to be hospitalized for a week a day after receiving her booster shot.

I have a whole lot to say about the covid pandemic and the "vaccines". Sooner or later I'll get to posting in the Covid thread my thoughts on what's happened and still happening.

I was patient zero in the US, came back from China in Dec., 2019 and got deathly ill a month or so later. Some friends from China had visited us, right off the plane, for Xmas that year. That was before anyone in the US knew what it was or any testing was avail. I've had it twice since then too, tested because I had to be negative to visit my mom in the hospital a year ago. Otherwise, the the last injection I've had was a Tetanus update four yrs ago.

Was among the first group in my state to get the first 2 (Pfizer). Did a lot of research before and have a pretty good understanding of cellular biology, and thus felt the MRNA was safe.

After more studies became available, and we found out that the spike protein itself is what's causing a ton of the damage, I would never in my right mind pump myself with more of that shit.

Seeing that they could modify the "vaccines" to create spike protein segments, rather than the whole (dangerous) protein, yet they don't care to has further opened my eyes and shown how little the government and those in power really "care."

I don't care about your individual choice to be vaccinated or not. I do care about the outright lies and the use of force that were employed to get many people to not have a choice.

This and I'm of the same mind set.
My whole family has had the vaccine with some getting boosters. I never got one and have never been tested.
I don't say a thing as it's individual choice. You do you.
Crossed a line when they wanted to enforce the vaccine on certain companies, employees, etc.

No shots, but I have had at least a dozen tests. Exactly none of them were my idea. All prerequisite for getting medical care and procedures done. I'll never voluntarily do one, as for me, it's simple: If you're sick, you're sick.

Never got the jab. Not against it if you think it will help you, I just felt the whole process was rushed and not researched or tested properly. I get the flu shot every year. My wife, daughter, and brother all took the shots. Wife didn't really want to but has friends in Canada and it was the only way she could go up and see them. I got Covid once in 12/21. Was like a bad cold/flu. Wife never got sick, but she never does any way. In the 35 years we've been together she has never even had a simple cold. Daughter and brother have both had Covid at least 4 or 5 times each by now.

You do you, and I’ll do me. If you (that’s a generic “you”) got the shot(s)…GREAT!! No skin off my ass. All I ask is you (again…generic) don’t look down your nose at me and act like some smug, condescending ass-hat because I chose medical autonomy.

“My body.”
“My choice”.

I pray for the excellent health and well-being for ALL of us.

Both my wife and I had the J&J shot and one J&J booster. No side effects from them.

We did not take any precautions like wearing a mask or hiding at home beyond what was enforced. She had covid twice, both mild cases and I have not had it even though we were at gatherings with people who came down with it.

ETA: We are not planning on getting anymore boosters.

I'm middle of the road. I am glad they are available for those that want them but I also know some good people who lost their jobs because they refused. Religious reasons completely stepped over. That showed me like no other thing ever that its good to have a plan-B.

I know some folks who get all the boosters and still get sick. I got the initial and no more. I apparently got it over summer vacation and it was annoying at best for a day. I am not in the high-risk zone. My kids don't have it and it would be a sticking point for me if it was required for them. If they choose to get it when they grow up, if its still a thing then more power to them.
