I still don't see how Newscum or Prikster have any path to victory.

What successes can they point to during their governorships? Both states are total messes, getting worse and both governors are doubling down on everything that made those messes. Even the totally compliant mainstream media can't spin it enough to make them look good. Show me one swing voter who wants this country run like CA or IL.

You know, sometimes I wonder what makes someone who has that kind of resource sit down and say, "Hmmm... I think I'd like to run for office."

(Yes, I realize I'm sort of asking from both sides of my mouth, because our President is also a multi-billionaire.)

But really. Man, if I were that well-funded, even people I like a lot wouldn't see me for months at a time. I can't imagine wanting to go through the constant scrutiny and muckraking, when The Lovely Girlfriend and I could be sitting on a secluded beach somewhere with a never-ending pitcher of mojitos instead.

I know, I know... it's just a rhetorical question. I figure most people like that derive their happiness from popularity and control, rather than from the good, pleasant, and altruistic things in life.

Who needs demonstrable success, when you have blind loyalty from The Masses and The Machine? Wink

JB Pritzker has also been spending time in South Carolina, particularly the black churches.
He's definitely testing the waters.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

Accomplishments are not needed anymore.
As far as JB goes, I'm not sure he has ever had a job. He attempted to buy a Senate seat from Obama/Blaggo. Funny how that attempt has always been overlooked despite it being recorded and used to convict Blaggo.
He self financed his governorship election.
Nice to have the backing of his family and the Hyatt Hotel chain money.

We who live in IL. see it all the time, no matter how bad a candidate is, if they have support from the Chicago/Cook Democratic Party, they are in.

We Illinoisans warned everybody about Obama when he ran for president. He had little experience before being elected 2 times to the Presidency.

JB would be an unbelievably BAD choice for the nation. He is entirely ego driven with a boat load of FY money to pass around.

It's no mystery how he got to the top of politics in IL. I just don't see it translating into national politics for him.

Not much of an audience to hear her word salad. I quess she couldn’t afford to buy a larger one. Lucky for her that her security folks were there to fluff it up a bit.
