Video of "Crew"

Its undated so who knows when it was shot. Also seems odd that they all were able to take their Dress Uniform when they abandoned ship

As we've seen in this war, every photo and video needs to be taken with a grain of salt. Doing a photo-op, cursory inspection, right after they'd just lost their ship would fall in-line with the poor priority practices that Russia seems infected with. Dog n'pony shows and looking the part, are more important than actually being capable. After all, the NORKS are spectacular parade performers and organizers.

Sevastopol is HQ of their Black Sea Fleet, not implausible for them to have enough uniforms (working blues or, admin blues?) available to get everyone outfitted.

I call BULLSHIT on this being a video of survivors. Notwithstanding the fact that their uniforms are impeccable and no injuries nor wounds are visible, look at the foliage in the background.

I’m seeing full leaved-out trees and shrubs in addition to the evergreens; does Spring in the Crimea come that early? Additionally, the Captain is wearing his outer topcoat while inspecting and shaking hands of crew, and then he appears to have shed that coat when addressing crew as we see his ribbons on his shirt.

Looks like they’ve spliced together various previous footage to due to the continuity issues.

That looks pretty legit. Not a 'typical' photoshop hatchet job, at least.

I scrolled to the bottom several times before and again just now. Unless you are referring to the small photo of the undamaged ship* in the Conversation, I do not see another.

* Added: And now that one has disappeared.

Lots of gear strewn about, helo hanger left open, life raft canisters deployed, every vent/exhaust drain has smoke marks

I noticed that. Engine room fire, maybe?

Correct aft antenna, correct aft hanger, correct twin funnels, spectral view of missile tubes forward in the smoke. I say real.

I'm betting at least one of the Neptunes hit the aft most middle tube, causing at least one of big Vulcan missiles to cook off.

Looks real to me. The question is at what point did this damage occur? There's still reports out there saying the Moskva is just "damaged" instead of sunk.

Some details pointed out around the net:

- At this point, Moskva listed 10 degrees to port (flood below), had considerable fire below decks in her engine compartments (black smoke rising at funnel), the largest open space below decks. Fire spread the length of the ship as you can see a set of smoke/soot stains from the escaping gases spaced equally down the hull.

- All of her damage control and firefighting pumps were next to the engineering spaces (except one pump in another location). So it looks like the location of the hits could have taken out most of her firefighting/damage control ability.

- Crane is swung to port, motor launches missing. The fact they launched the port boats suggests the ship was already listing that way. Crane was still operational and had a power source.

- Any holes from a missile hit would be below the waterline at this point,* abaft the Sandbox anti-ship missile launchers and CIWS magazine. No indication of a magazine hit (because the ship is still there). All the big Sandbox launchers seem intact. It doesn't look like the S-300 long-range surface-to-air missiles cooked off either, though hull is deformed considerably around the cells.

- Volna and Baza fire control radars are in stand-by position and the Zif-122 launcher of the Osa-M medium-range SAM system is retracted, indicating the S-300 and Osa-M air defence systems had been inactive.

What reports?
Why would Russia officially admit that it had been sunk? Why would they do that if it weren’t true? Confused

I’m guessing that if I looked, I could probably find a “report” that the ship had been lifted out of the ocean and transported to a space aliens’ mother ship. Roll Eyes
