The only “dream” vehicle I have ever owned was my 2008 Suzuki Hyabusa motorcycle, which I traded in for my current 2012 Honda Goldwing. I wish I held onto the Suzuki one more year to pay it off and would now own both. I really miss and loved that bike. I currently also own a 2002 Chevy Silverado 1500 Z-71 truck. This truck has treated me so well and I will keep it as long as I can. The only things I have had to do so far is replace the water pump and the AC system. Right now I am having a pretty good oil leak so I will have to get several seals replaced to fix it, but that is better than a new truck purchase. I currently have 140K miles on it and hope to at least get 200K. NRA Benefactor Life Member

1986 Toyota MR2, sunroof, dark green, almost black, with a cloth interior, much better than the leather. It accelerated faster than a lot of performance cars, and handled so well you’d have sworn it was telepathic. Great trunk, you could put a week’s worth of groceries or a full set of golf clubs. I replaced 3 alternators, but it was so fun to drive. Rust and the cost of other repairs finally did her in after 180k miles. If I could find another, I’d buy it in a heartbeat.

1993 mustang Cobra back in the mid 90's. I put a ton of money in it and it ran 10.80's at 128 mph supercharged and all intact (a/c, power steering, all orgional body/wheels) and was a daily driver. Raced street renegade with it. It was loud, obnoxious and a ton of fun.

My 1989 crimson Chevy Beretta. A great driving and dependable car, the thing would just not quit. Besides, who doesn't like the name Beretta? _____________________________ People never lie so much as after a hunt, during a war, or before an election. - Otto von Bismarck

1994 Saab 900SE. Hump backed tiger of the tundra. Often had mechanical issues, but was a great highway cruiser, when it ran. . Once trailed a yellow porsche approximately 50 miles at almost 100 mph in western Mass.

That's way cool! I'm loving my R50 Pathfinder (316K miles now); I'd love to have a Patrol to go with it. God bless America.

I've had a lot of cars, mostly japanese, but a couple 'mericans too. The best is a tie between the '02 "original" WRX, and my current ND2 '19 Miata. The wrx was an amazing daily driver and weekend autocrosser. The new miatas are excellent, if you fit in them. And my skinny ass does.

My 1949 Cadillac 62 Seville sedan turtleback. It liked the outback freeways of Oregon & Idaho at 70+19mpg. Fine road car. **************~~~~~~~~~~ "I've been on this rock too long to bother with these liars any more." ~SIGforum advisor~ "When the pain of staying the same outweighs the pain of change, then change will come."~~sigmonkey

Edge seeking Sharp blade! |
Buddy had a rare 1967 Corvette with a rare mix of luxury and performance options. Somebody attempted to check every box when they ordered it, except tri power. Had 37 gallon tank, side pipes, A/C, PS, PB, Wonder bar AM/FM, power windows, 427 four barrel, 4 speed. He picks it up from a used car dealer and drives it to the automotive machine shop I was running. Pops the hood to check out an oil leak and it has an aftermarket aluminum valve cover with the corner fiberglassed with a cutout for the brake booster. Couple of guys stop by to look at the car and one of them says he has a big block valve cover with divot for a brake booster. In disbelief, we tell him to go get it. 15 minutes later he comes back with it and wants $10 for it.

You guys will probably laugh at me but my favorite car was a 1964 Mercury Park Lane convertible. 390/300hp. Bucket seats, AM radio. Anniversary silver and a black convertible top. Scrapped it in 1971, still miss that car today. -------------------------------------—————— ————————--Ignorance is a powerful tool if applied at the right time, even, usually, surpassing knowledge(E.J.Potter, A.K.A. 2000 Mercury Grand Marquis. Looks and sounds basic, but very reliable. Large trunk, roomy back seat and very comfortable for long trips. Besides yearly brake pads, only failure in 14 years was an alternator. In 2007, I dropped a 2003 Mercury Marauder engine in it with custom made parts to keep emissions intact. Along with 4:10 gears, suspension improvements turned it into a decent sleeper. The combo of high stall converter and loud exhaust gave it away. Not the fastest, not the best handling, but what a great car over all. An icy bridge one 2014 morning took it out of service. I'd still drive it today if I could. --Tom The right of self preservation, in turn, was understood as the right to defend oneself against attacks by lawless individuals, or, if absolutely necessary, to resist and throw off a tyrannical government.

VT: I had one of these, also one of my very favorites. I believe this year was the absolute peak of small design features for 'best looks' of the entire run of Ghia convertibles. Citroen: mine was an ID-19 similar vintage. Remains perhaps the very best 'passengers comfort' car of the over 200 vehicles I've owned....although the MB 300 SD turbo was close. This message has been edited. 2000 Pontiac Bonneville SSE/i. The supercharger really made that car go. Mileage was just a tad lower than the regular 3.8. I would have kept that car forever, but it got old.

2 door black Tahoe with 350 engine. 4wd. I had just graduated college and had a pretty good job. I went to the beach all the time in that thing. Went out every weekend with my friends. Went to the hunting camp every weekend during hunting season. Single and having fun. ----------------------------------------- Roll Tide! 2002 Cadillac Seville STS black on black. I loved that car. FWD yet it handles better than other 4WD cars in the snow due to its weight. All I had to do was point the wheel and the car did the rest. V8 that used 87 gas and got 24mph. My current E46 330xi is a fun nimble car by comparison but no question the Cadillac beats it in many other categories. A trunk that could hold 3 bodies. The air bag suspension was like riding on glass that's how smooth it was. My only regret was listening to the dealership saying that the trans fluid never had to be changed... well it did and the trans failed. Sad day watching it get hauled off to the scrap yard despite looking like it came off the showroom floor.
