There's no telling if some HR person is having a bad day and just decides to arbitrarily reject forms.
With the lawyer there's the implicit threat of "We'll litigate if we have to!"

Since there is a lot of unknown's here. I will will speculate that the 10% is not the entire unvaxxed portion of the work force. And maybe not a 100% unvaxxed period.

The dems see this as the final piece of their puzzle to control the people. Non Vaxxed will be deemed unsuitable/unstable to own firearms.

Current status at my job is be vaxxed by Jan 4 with proof or masks are permanent and weekly testing is required. Long as it’s their dime on their time I’ll be glad to waste their money. They’re not going full bore on a mandate because we’re already understaffed by 10-40% depending on location. If the labor market were to turn the opposite direction they’d make it a requirement IMO.

We got the email a few weeks ago inquiring about our vaccination status and our plans to get/not get vaccinated.

Been quiet ever since. I am not looking forward to the inevitable email.

Ugh. Such BS. Angers me to hear about people getting pressured to choose between a job and their beliefs.

I am 100% remote as well. I get an all company return to office email weekly to Update my status. The choices are Decline to state ( surprisingly), unvaxxed or vaxed and here’s my proof with a method to upload vax passport. So I dutifully check not vaxed hit send and I get this automated reply saying I should not come to the office for x days etc. Which is fine unless they send me a plane and hotel ticket I have no plans to go back into an office. Between phone and zoom and internet I’m doing my job just fine. Im also working a constant 12-16 hours a day so we can discuss that if it ever comes up during a sit down about my vax status.

One hot take I’ve heard this week is the Republicans in Congress may use giving up the vax mandate as a carrot to get Dems on increasing the debt limit. Which is lame because since Dems control Congress they can single handedly force the debt limit up but want to make it look like R’s were on board.

I work for an essential utility as well. I’ve got back up plans for the the day I get fired, if it comes to that.

The company recently gave out a $1000 bonus to get vaccinated. I think they are scared, we’re understaffed and have some jobs that are required to be staffed or risk shutting down. I don’t know why they would shell out so much money if they were sure the mandate would hold. Why not just wait and have everyone forced to get it...? I don’t know.

I will turn in the card once they put in writing that they intend on firing me, I will not lose my job over something that I've already done. I don't like having to turn over my papers to anyone, but they are saying that it's only for compliance, docs will be encrypted and secured, lastly that the information will not be given to the government on a individual basis, just total employees and total vaccinated (not sure I believe that).

It pisses me off so much that they are forcing this shot on people and using the ability to feed your children to twist the dagger.

My employer will be facing that same issue soon. They are claiming 90% of ~14,000 employees are vaccinated (I call BS). My coworkers and I have a pool going on for when they will have the same requirement for the booster.

I took the shot back in June for my own reasons and am in the “my medical information is not the company’s business” group so I have not “voluntarily attested” to being vaccinated.

They have set Jan 10th as the date to attest to being vaccinated or be fired. I will upload my card on the 9th unless things change due to the governor signing the new laws last week.

They have been trying to entice people into complying by easing restrictions on those who have attested to getting the shot while maintaining restrictions on the rest of us. I have to wear a mask, fill out an on-line symptom questionnaire and take a covid test each day before I go to work. But they do add 5 minutes onto my time card each day to cover time spent testing at home so there's that.

Just going by the number of people I see still wearing masks there is close to 30% who have not attested to being vaccinated. No idea of the actual number who will be fired rather then take the shot but neither does front line management and you can see them sweating it. We are already running production lines short handed and if we lose just 10% we will have to shut lines down and pick which products we won't make.

They have said they are looking into the impact of the new laws signed last week and will let us know but corporate is located in NJ so we'll see what happens.

I hope those who lost their jobs file criminal complaints for Deprivation of Rights Under Color of Law (18 USC Section 242).

Coercing someone to divulge protected private medical information is a blatant violation of the 9th Amendment as solidified by Roe v Wade.

Also filling out a letter of exemption is simply asking permission to exercise one's rights, and free men do not ask permission.

I refuse to sign Covid documents or divulge my status regarding taking their experimental serum, and I am a federal employee (no not a bureaucrat, I purchase parts and pieces to keep a hydroelectric dam running).

Also, these mandates are getting put on hold at many levels such as private sector, and now for federal employees by the courts.

We are seeing what raw incompetence looks like. The plan is chaos and clearly not even legal, yet the current administration continues to stumble ahead. This White House is setting policy based on the results of leftist polling...we'll be lucky to still have a country in 2022.

Maybe advocate for a position that recognizes natural immunity has a far superior immunity than the vaccine. Tell that to your boss with the resignation letter. Put your money where your mouth is… Plenty of great jobs out there right now.

I'm sorry to hear about this. I'm alright with getting vaccinated but it chafes my ass if I have to turn in a document saying I was vaccinated.
