It all ended up going well for the kid, the Marlins gave him a big goody bag then he got to meet the newly acquired Phillies player who hit the ball after the game (Harrison Bader who is turning out to be AWESOME) who gave him a signed bat.

Of course Crum Bum Karen has spawned a thousand memes

It's a friggin ball from a friggin game. I wonder if she'll get fired if she's employed somewhere. Who wants to work w/ someone who would steal candy from a kid.... And not even discreetly - in front of thousands and millions of people.

From what I saw, the ball was caught by no one and was on the ground so it was anyone’s game to get it and the dad of the kid got it. He ended up giving it to the stupid Karen. I would have told her to piss off, but he didn’t want to look bad and Karen didn’t care. I hope she gets ridiculed over wanting a stupid ball and taking it from a kid.

The reality is that it is better for positive purposes in our society that this angry, aggressive, selfish woman was successful in taking a ball from a child. The pettiness and cold-hearted viciousness of this act is what has fueled the controversy.

She's getting slaughtered, not just social media. NYT, Newsweek, People, Dailymail UK, etc. I read that she and her husband left shortly after because of the booing they were getting in their section. She might have to move to Ireland and join Rosie.

Most appropriate, but the question is, who is "she"?

Earlier today, it was thought she had been identified, but it seems the person so named was not the woman. If her identity is not generally known, she is suffering no tangible punishment other than perhaps not showing up to baseball games for a good long while.

Aside from that, if she remains unidentified at the moment, I imagine she's scared shitless of the hammer coming down, and when you've got a substantial portion of the public out for your blood, that's a pretty good punishment. She's gonna have some sleepless nights, and her precious little ball won't help. Razz

I’m quite surprised she still hasn’t been identified, what with her face clearly exposed to the whole world. That millionaire douchebag who snatched the baseball cap (intended for that little boy) out of the hand of the tennis player’s hand was outed overnight.

Pops should have taken the ball, caught the attention of somebody several rows up, yelled "Fetch!" and lobbed the ball. The crowd would have seen it, and Karen never would have gotten near that ball... it might have even circled back to the kid after the game of Keep Away was over.

The cuck dad needs to man-up in front of his son - what was all that pansy hand-waving when Karen walked up to him?

There's a 50/50 chance if I was in that situation I would react the same way or punch her in the face if I was startled like that. I will not be so quick to call him a pussy when a stranger puts their hands on you when you never expect it, it might surprise you too.

As for the woman, what a vile person. I'm not generally in favor of people with pitchforks and torches, but in this case toss her to the wolves.

I am confident she will be identified even if she is in the witness program.

It's funny to me, all of you who are condemning this man, calling him a cuck and other things. He knew that at that moment, countless eyes were on him, and cameras, too. You expect him to take a chance of this crazy bitch trying to wrestle him for the ball? Play out that scenario in your head for a moment. Even if he wins, he loses.

The fact that his son was right there is interpreted differently by some of you. Oh, he's got to get tough with this insane broad, because her behavior up to that point had been predictable, what with her calm demeanor and cool reasoning of the matter, and if he told her 'no' she would have just thanked him for listening and then walked away.

He did the right thing, refusing to argue with a crazy person. There was time after the incident to discuss it with his son.

But oh, no, he should have whipped out his sack and mercilessly beat this harpy with it, because that's what you would have done, and you wouldn't just be saying that you would do it because you're sitting there armchair quarterbacking the matter after the fact. No, you really would have shown the bitch how things are.
