He might be having small seizures. I dated a woman about 12 years ago that suddenly started doing that. She was fully aware of everything going on around her but couldn't move, speak, blink, anything for a period of time.

Now that I've see it twice it looks very similar.

Actually, I'm thinking he may be having cardiac arrhythmia's. The arrhythmia could briefly impair cerebral blood flow and cause him to be confused; the etiology is actually a cardiac problem leading to a transient ischemic attack. Doesn't look like seizure activity. Another lessor possibility would be a Parkinsonian syndrome, as I would expect more symptomatology besides these confusional episodes. Same for a dementia; expect he would have other manifestations as well.

I had a fishing buddy with brain cancer who would have brain seizures while we were sitting there fishing. Same thing, just froze up for anywhere from 10-20 seconds.

It appears is physical condition has deteriorated quite quickly over the past few weeks. I wouldn't be surprised if he keeled over any day now.

Before I retired a decade+ back, one of my duties was to help prepare an attorney for an important case. She was a very bright 45ish woman with marvelous legal skills and a very sharp interview technique. We had a day prepping with a pleasant cordial lunch, during which she had several brief 'episodes' of this same freeze-motion. She told me to expect to see a few more then next day but unless she actually seemed distressed, to just wait out the moment.

In court for 6+ the next day, I saw her enter several episodes while examining the witness. Her interludes would last up to a long minute before returning to normal. She won on the legal merits of the case. I would hear of her over the next few years before finally an actual extended TIA event produced a lethal stroke. I never did learn the exact specifics of her condition. It sure was similar to several politicians recently in the news.

If the Twitter info about his net worth is accurate, then it just confirms a theory I have had for a while:
The only reason to enter politics at the state and federal level is to enrich yourself.

Term limits are the answer, but good luck trying to get career congress critters to vote for that.

I'm pretty sure that if I'd take the first 500 names in our local phone book, and make them congressmen for just four years, they'd accomplish a hell of a lot more than these career politicians did in their 40 or 50 years as lawmakers.

Either term limits or a mandatory retirement age are definitely an answer. It would not solve every problem, but is a step in the right direction.

Many medical boards demand cognitive testing to determine fitness to practice medicine. A mandatory retirment age is arbitrary. Sanders is in good shape and he is in that age group.

Mitch has made his crony-capitalist Millions... time to go.
But he doesn't want to let go of the power.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

No cries from the left for him to step down is telling. If he were an effective barrier to them they'd want him out of there. They'd just as soon he'd stay since he goes along with them, and they don't want to risk his replacement may block America destroying agenda.

Go back and watch this movie from 1992 and you'll understand why there will never be term limits.

You would think that a person who has amassed so much wealth would want to try and enjoy it near the end of their life.

But, oh, these legislators are doing so much good for the country, they can't retire and leave citizens helpless. Sure, that's what they're doing with their going backwards Uniparty horse shit. Yeah, what would we do without them? Roll Eyes

This addiction to power is sickening. For fuck's sake, if this is the only way they can feel fulfilled in this life, they should be pitied, but they won't be getting any from me. It's pathetic, and it goes without saying that their need to stroke their egos is to the detriment of this nation.
