I don't believe in term limits for legislators because you end up putting power into the hands of unelected bureaucrats and lobbyists who can just wait out legislators who they don't like.

However, I am sick and tired of congressional office holders acting like being in Congress is akin to a peerage title.
I think when people hear "term limits", their only real point of reference is the president.

20 years is a term limit.
25 years is a term limit.
30 years is a term limit.

Or what about maximum age? Or a standard of health? Pilot certificates require a medical examination. Driver's licenses in many states require more frequent renewal after a certain age.

It need not be too complicated or draconian, but we seem to regularly have scenarios now where the whole country is waiting some of these people out.

Fortunately, the LACK of Term Limits right now is what's keeping SOME states from going full-on BLUE Demotard. Senator Turtle's state possibly being one of them. Sad, but true...

Of course our Founders and Framers probably never imagined in a BAZILLION years the state of this country would be what it is today almost 250 years later. Maybe they did. They were a pretty smart bunch of cookies...

So many in congress are so goddamn old, and if they were at all normal they would have retired long ago, but yet they absolutely won’t voluntarily relinquish their prime spot at the trough. Pigs.

I'm reminded of various old school law firms or, financial management groups, where the founding principals still remain in-place. They think they still matter, they want to be involved even though they can't keep up and they've worked for so long that they don't know what else to do with themselves, they have a soulless life.

I looked at the video: he froze, but he did not have any drooping of one side of his face, or his mouth. So unlikely to be a major TIA, like the middle cerebral artery.
More likely I think a petit mal or absence seizure, secondary to his recent brain trauma.
Not a neurologist, but I've seen many strokes.

Term limits, term limits, & term limits!

Age limits, age limits, & age limits!

Both of these are on display in DC.

Biden, McConnell, Feinstein all on full display!! Several others, no doubt.

People say vote the bums out on Election Day but they are perfectly happy putting their bum back in. And so it goes.

One of my sisters has a significant seizure disorder, with absence spells. It does look just like McConnell, like someone presses the Pause button for 30 seconds. She comes back in as if someone took her off of pause. Most people don't notice it unless she's talking.

While in one of these spells she is unresponsive, so a bit different than Mitch being led away. Otherwise though Mitch appeared just like my sister.

It's all fine and good for the crowd to voice their opinion. HOWEVER, what that crowd has to realize is that the Demotards and Libshits will do ANYTHING and EVERYTHING to seat a raging phukktarded Progressive Libshit in Senator Turtles place.

Are the loud voices in that crowd willing to get down and dirty to keep that seat red? If you wrestle with a pig, you're gonna get muddy. Are they willing to do that?

Be careful for what you wish...you just might get it.

ETA...about the only good I've seen from McConnell is his pushing through President Trump's Federal judge nominees and new blood on SCOTUS. Beyond that, he's mammaries on a boar hog.

Is she re-booting him while the other guy distracts? Turning it off, then back on again is usually the first solution.

One would expect responsible folks on either side of the isle would do something about this kind of thing, but nooooo. No surprise, not enough responsible (non-power hungry) folks to go around. Between him and Feinstein... sigh.
