I have a Tele impersonator, an older G&L ASAT Classic with the Butterscotch finish. It's not the same, but it ain't bad either.

Santa brought me a Strymon NightSky! They call it a time-warped reverberator. Well, when I realized it was 2:00pm, I'd have sworn,.. SWORN and bet $100 that it was 11:00a. Mom got over us being late to her house for the family gathering. She's well practiced at being patient with me. This thing is mental.

I've actually got the bug to get a small synth and run it through these pedals. It's amazing what you can get out of them. Here's a $30 Kalimba through a Strymon BigSky. Also amazing. I bought my daughter the Kalimba for Christmas. Smile

It's a short, so I cannot embed.

I updated the YouTube embedder to handle it.

You have skillz man! Thanks! I had a heck of a time seeing what was in the bottom corner when watching it on the short because something occluded the view. I finally ferreted it out, but here, you can clearly see the AD-35 transducer. I got her one to play into my amp and effects.

She lit up hearing me play, and by late morning I was teaching her one of the first songs I learned on guitar 40 years ago - Sweet Home Alabama.

She's currently playing an old classical I bought at an estate sale for $100. It's got a wide fretboard and is hard to play. I think I'm going to find her a cheap no-name Tele, or something.

Got a Strymon Nightsky for Christmas. It's super fun, if not a bit useless. The videos on YT sucked me in, and so that was my ask/purchase. The infinite hold is pretty cool. So you can jam on top of an ethereal chord with chilling modulation on top. I think they call it ambient music.

Next up for me is a looper. And maybe some sort of distortion or overdrive. Everything I own is time-based thus far.

If you ever get the chance, test a Wampler Tumnus. I do not use it as an overdrive. I keep the gain very low. It’s my always on pedal. It thickens up single coils and just makes everything sweeter.

For loopers, I have the RC1 but I’m still thinking of adding a simple Ditto for another option even though I suck at using them.

The RC1 makes it easy to see where you are in the loop and I like having a second external stop/erase button.

I like less but more approach. I stepped away from the more complicated pedals because before my venture into the modeling systems just got too complicated. The modelers do some great things, especially the Fender ones, but it takes a lot of effort to dial in one of a hundred presets for a particular song then remember which it was.

I now enjoy multiple simple pedals and a PRRI. It’s nice to get almost anything I want with a click or two.

You can get some great deals on new pedals on Reverb. Many list them as demos to price less but when you get them the boxes have not been opened.

One pedal I really would like is a real spring reverb. I've thought about building one from a kit, but I have almost no experience with that sort of thing, and I would hate to spend that much and totally screw it up.
