Back, and to the left
| I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. I too 'lost' my mother to ALZ about 2004 even though she passed in 2011. It always makes it a bit easier when you are able to see that theirs was a life well lived. When the occasion of their passing can serve as an inspiration for others, you know that is the case. May the Lord bless her and keep her. Thanks for sharing this with us.
I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all. -Ecclesiastes 9:11 |

"Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil... Therefore, as tongues of fire lick up straw and as dry grass sinks down in the flames, so their roots will decay and their flowers blow away like dust; for they have rejected the law of the Lord Almighty and spurned the word of the Holy One of Israel." - Isaiah 5:20,24 |

| I’m sorry for your family’s loss. I can truly empathize. My mom passed away in April this year just a few days before her 53 wedding Anniversary. Mom had been suffering from vascular dementia for years until she had a series of strokes two years ago this week. She suffered a lot from the strokes and she went directly to the moderate stage of dementia. Half blind and bed bound she went on for a year and a half in a nursing home (don’t get me started on that topic) until she had what we believe may have been another stroke and lost her ability to swallow. She also had difficulty talking. After a week or two of trying to help her get moisture and calories the Dr convinced dad it was past time to call hospice. My mom also went a long time without food and water. 10 days without food and water. The last thing she said to me and my girls before hospice was that she loved us too. It’s been months and it’s still fresh in my mind. Prayers for comfort and strength for you and your family. |
