Not quite a soda, but I'll sometimes mix 50% cranberry juice and 50% sparkling mineral water in a tall glass filled with ice, and finish with a splash of lime juice.

Makes for a great thirst quencher on a hot day, like after mowing the yard, or being on the shooting range all day.

I guess you could call it a "Cranberry Spritzer" or the like.

RC Cola is now available in 16.9-ounce bottles at the nearest grocery store. So, I grabbed a six pack while getting a few things this afternoon. I used to see it there just in 12 can packs, or two-liter bottles.

Henry Weinhard's Root Beer. They don't sell it where I live, but I still manage to have one when visiting family.

I am a card carrying member of the Diet Coke cult.

Hate sugar sodas, too sweet and the excessive sugar messes with my stomach.

Love me a Diet Coke though, and it's true, the best is from Mcdonald's.

Well, A&W root beer with a scoop of vanilla ice cream!
But on a really hot day, Diet Pepsi pulled out of a cooler full of ice….

Question: Is there something about Diet Coke from McDonalds, that is different from other Diet Coke? Asking because I don't think I've ever had Diet Coke at McDonald's -- if I eat McDonald's stuff, I usually grab something to go and have a can of Diet Coke from the refrigerator at work.

I worked there when I was a kid... Manager told us then that it was because the syrup was kept in stainless steel containers, and because of the straw diameter.
I know they still get their syrup delivered in SS containers, and I'm sure everyone has noticed that the straws are a larger diameter. But I guess its a Mystery of the Ages... Big Grin

I loved Coke with real sugar and lime Jarritos. I can no longer drink any of that stuff. The diet options are all gross. They taste fake.

McD's has a deal with Coke to make them a mixture for their machines which compensates for the ice in the cup...that is why they have lines on the cups that the staff is suppose to follow. It is also why odering a Coke at McD's without ice doesn't "taste right"

No, Daoism isn't a religion

If there is anything different about it, it's the cups, straws and dispensing machinery.

Perhaps it is the extra BPA in the straws which are sized perfectly for that morning chug. Perhaps it's the aged syrup residue in the fountain. *Chef's kiss"

I don't know, but there aren't many things that will make me as right on a workday morning!

The regular Coke at McDonalds is also really, really good.

My wife turned me on to this and now all other Coca Cola tastes flat and insipid to me, even from a bottle or can. I think their syrup ratio to soda water is a little higher and it’s VERY bubbly compared to regular Coke and just tastes and goes down great. That’s one thing McDonald’s does well is their fountain sodas.
