If I cancelled and reordered now I’d probably receive a 2028 rather than a 2027. It appears likely that I will receive a 2027 model year with no need to cancel my July 29, 2026 order. And 2027 is a prime number. One component of a prime pair, since 2029 is also a prime number. Serious about crackers.

I looked, Model 3 order for here is late Dec-Jan, and there is no inventory in stock to buy from, wow, Trumps High Gas plan is working to sell more EV's than the lefts $7500 program..... I'd just hang tight, if you want it, right now it's just Tesla trying to keep up with orders.

^^^^^ Tesla knew all prior Model 3 orders, and production schedule when I ordered on July 29. Subsequent orders by other folks shouldn’t have delayed delivery of my order from the initial Sep 9 – Sep 30 claim. Tesla lies through its teeth. Serious about crackers.

Here's the LLM's response, and I agree you shouldn't be seeing this continued push back, they should have been able to pin point a production date for something ordered a while back. Question: Why are tesla model 3 orders being delayed Tesla Model 3 orders are experiencing significant delays primarily because 2026 production capacity for entry-level and base trims is sold out, pushing delivery dates into early 2027. Key reasons for the delays include: • High Demand & Sold-Out 2026 Slots: The base Model 3 Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) has seen overwhelming demand, causing Tesla's configurator to push delivery windows out to January–March 2027. • Trim-Level Prioritization: Tesla has heavily prioritized higher-margin or mid-level Premium trims, leaving base RWD buyers with longer wait times as production is constrained or directed toward more expensive builds. • Regional Allocation and Import Quotas: In international markets like Canada, orders for specific Model 3 trims have been temporarily halted or severely delayed because high demand has exceeded regional import quotas. • Batch Production & Logistics: Tesla builds vehicles in regional batches and matches finished inventory to orders by exact configuration, which can lead to cascading rollbacks of estimated delivery dates (EDDs) and expired financing agreements for customers who ordered earlier in the season Model 3 Wait Times by Version Model 3 Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD): Estimated delivery is January to March 2027. Premium RWD / Premium AWD / Performance: Estimated delivery is October–November 2026

My order is Model 3 Premium RWD. Tesla’s current Ouija board delivery claim: Dec 6 – Dec 31 (hopefully 2026) Tesla lies through its teeth. Maybe I ought to make that my new tag line. Serious about crackers.

Bouncing delivery dates would frustrate me as well. Hope you get better news. Over the last few months I’ve been eyeballing low milage 2025 Mach E GT lease returns. The deprecation hit was looking really good for me to pick one up – I figured Oct/Nov based on what I was seeing at that time. The current gas prices appear to be throwing a bit of a wrench in that plan as people seem to be scooping them up just before it hits my price point. It's a want, not a need, so I just need to be patient.
