As we can see, opinions are divided. Part of the objection of those who think this was excessive is that it seems the FBI is far more likely to use greater force with people who are perceived to be on the political right, and I can't disagree with this in any way.

But, everyone knows the FBI is horribly, embarrassingly biased and that fairness does not enter into their thinking for anyone right of center.

One of the most enlightening yet sad facts this forum has taught for me over the years is open my eyes to the ‘real world’.

Sorry Johnny, the FBI is not really the intelligent, unbiased, and follow-the-lead organization you’ve always wanted to believe it was.

Similar to the FBI, the Press does not ‘follow the story/lead’ if they don’t like the direction that story/lead might take them.

The Military is not immune to the p/c bullshit anymore than any other organization, and in some ways seems to be more infected with shit leadership than most companies.

It genuinely causes me a bit of sadness when I consider that for the most part, those in this country with the most influence and in some cases groups charged to protect me, could not give a Detroit Fuck about me.

Let’s not forget that these agents have been told that the greatest threat to our nation is white nationalism and patriot terrorism. At that point all one needs to do is fit a stereotype by perception and then it’s wabbit season.

We can say that the old guy totally brought this on his self but we can also say the FBI killed him because they could.

Absolutely, how many of us startled out of a sleep by the front door being forced open by a door ram and yelling would be saying awe shucks my house is being broke into I better just lay here and not grab my nightstand firearm to protect my family? The FBI got the response they were hoping for with the Utah incident. They were hoping for the same response from Stone. They could have contacted Stone to come in. They could have knocked on the door of Stone and served the warrant. He wasn’t a risk of bodily injury or destruction of evidence like flushing drugs down the toilet. They or the DOJ informed CNN so it would be sensationalized. They know exactly what they are doing sending a message that if you don’t tow the line and stay in the herd with the rest of the sheep you will be delt with.

Absolute.. I think I've know since grammar school that it is a serious and stupid thing to publicly threaten the life of the president and if you do the feds are coming for you... and even though my nature has always been to question authority, I have been trained and I feel trained well that if a LEO gives you an order you follow it... argue as to whether is it proper or right later.

One of the things that gripes the dickens out of me is TV cop shows where some one is waving a gun around and the police spend the next 5 minutes of the show telling them to drop the weapon.

What exactly makes you think I was defending him? Nothing I posted indicated any such thing. I was calling out the FBI for their actions. He definitely should've been arrested, but I don't think he deserved the death penalty! These pre-dawn RAIDs have a VERY predictable outcome, and if I didn't know any better it would 'almost' seem as if that's on purpose!

Yeah, well that's where I am at this point in my life. Have actually considered selling most of my guns because I never feel like going to the range anymore. Lots of other hobbies I never do anymore also, so should get rid of them too...
