It think they are only at the tip of the iceberg here.

Companies hiring illegals that they can pay lower wages to and not have to pay taxes or benefits is MASSIVE in many industries. Two I can think of right off the top of my head are the restaurant and construction industries. Just wait until they find just how many illegals are employed by them, it's going to be mind boggling.

Thing is, the laws are there and have not been being enforced. Ever heard of form I9?

Employers and employees have been faking or accepting fake documentation for years. All you really have to do is due diligence and enforce existing law.

If I recall correctly, it was publicly known that even (senator) pelosi hired illegals. Or maybe it was Feinstein. Democrats have no regard for the law despite the thousands they create for us to be subject to.

I’m with you and am well aware of the laws already on the books. However any law that’s not enforced may as well not be on the books. My take on making illegals unhireable is specifically that we aggressively enforce the laws on the books, the civil penalties and criminal ones. We don’t need congress to do anything, just keep supporting President Trump as he pushes for tough immigration law enforcement.

I’ve observed the same in manual laborers here in my San Diego neighborhood. Many are Hispanic, some are likely undocumented.

An old friend who used to own a construction company told me the exact same thing. He said they work hard, do what they're told, and show up on time. He said he preferred those guys over any anyone else.

Yeah, we had our whole roof replaced last fall. There we probably 6-8 workers up there and all but one were Hispanic.

They were skilled and worked non-stop. We need workers like that and I would gladly welcome them into our society. They just need to go back and go thru the system..legally.

Yep. See how many white and black guys you can find willing to replace a roof on a house in the summer in the south. Or mow a lawn for that matter.
