Where does the time go? Realized its been a month and didn't want this to disappear. Time change has sucked, but I'll get some pictures up this week as the finished floor looks simply amazing ( in my humble opinion Smile )

Alright here are a couple of quick pictures, I finished the 3rd coat of polyurathane last night and went down to look it over this morning.

I actually ran out of wood and needed about 350 sq/ft, guy i knew had some of the wood as well so he hooked me up big time. The wood I had was 8-10 ft long and the stuff he gave me is all ~16ft long. While waiting to get the wood we had a few rain out days at work so my 2 best friends (and co workers) came over and we sanded and stained ~1200 sq/ft in less than 2 days.

Still have to finish my bedroom and the pantry, but now there is nothing keeping me from installing the toilets, tubs, sinks and kitchen stuff.

I just found this thread. What an awesome undertaking and accomplishment. During the earlier posts I was thinking, "Man I hope he puts some corner windows in!" The flooring is beautiful too!.

I don't post too often, but I've followed this thread from the start. Sureshot, your house looks great and I can't imagine the sense of pride/accomplishment. Too cool.

Looking great man!!!

Doesn't matter what the press says. Doesn't matter what the politicians or the mobs say. Doesn't matter if the whole country decides that something wrong is something right. This nation was founded on one principle above all else: The requirement that we stand up for what we believe, no matter the odds or the consequences. When the mob and the press and the whole world tell you to move, your job is to plant yourself like a tree beside the river of truth, and tell the whole world -- "No, YOU move."

No joke! By the time you include rental on the sander, polyurethane, and stain I'll have a little less than $1000 in the floors. .75 cents a square foot makes me happy Smile
