Can’t wait! The first part was very well done.

Pt. 1 was well-done. Too bad we're gonna miss Pt. 2 cuz we cancelled HBO Max.

We won't go near a theater these days.

Will pre buy on 4k blu ray and wait for it to see it. HBO MAX for Dune 1 sucked because streaming audio is fucking horrible. Watching it on 4k blu ray was like watching a completely different film.

Denis is just straight fucking killing it. BR2049, Dune 1, now this. 3rd most anticipated sequel of my lifetime. ESB, BR2049, and Dune 2. Denis is one of the top 3 directors living.

I am not a movie buff, but that sounds bold! Of his movies that I have seen: Prisoners, Enemy, Sicario, and Arrival; I borderline hated Enemy and Arrival; I thought Sicario was pretty slick; and Prisoners is one of my all-time favorites, which I own on disk, and have seen three times.

Out of curiosity, who are the other two that round out your top three directors?

Is there some kind of connection between Dune and Alien I'm not aware of?

Not that I’m aware of, and I’ve read them all. Did I miss something in that trailer?

Right now, Nolan, Scorsese, and I’d throw PTA in there as well. BR2049 was one of the best films, and sci-films I’ve ever seen in my life. Greatest sequel I have ever seen, overtaking ESB. He’s been on a role since. BR2049 was vast, so was the first Dune. The scale is immense and he’s the only one that could do any of these films around.

I loved Sicario a lot. I mean that thing was just insane. Nobody else making film like that IMO. I “liked” Arrival a lot too as it was a different take. Not boom, explosions, blah. More of a thinking type film. Denis is just going up, up, up. Getting better and better with BR2049 and Dune b2b, I just think he is up there as one of the best and most innovative directors around.

Looking forward to this. It could end up being the best Dune movie overall.

I don't do theaters but I'll have this on a 4K disc. Dune part 1 was excellent.

Part 1 was excellent in theaters; sound was extremely well-done. Saw it twice there, then picked up the 4K HDR disc. That is excellent, too.

Very much looking forward to part 2! Smile

I rarely go to theaters because most movies just aren't that good.

But I will go see this one. I want to see it on a big screen.

Oh yeah!!!! Maybe, just maybe, Part 1 will make a reappearance in theaters before Part 2 comes out. If not, I have it at home...
