And let's not forget the grandaddy of them all for time travel TV shows: Doctor Who

The classic series is excellent, if a bit cheesy and slow for 21st century audiences but still good stories.

The new version that started back up in 2005 was AWESOME until around 2017-2018 when it started to go off the rails with wokery and PC so if you do watch it, I suggest stopping at Peter Capaldi.

'Frequency'... One of my favorite Jim Caviezel movies, and he's made a lot of good ones, it's with Dennis Quaid. He communicates with his dad, who was killed in the past, via an old Ham radio he found.

NECRO THREAD---

Found another kind of fun one called 11.22.63 on Netflix.

James Franco stars as a guy who transports himself back to 1960 with the plan to stop the JFK assassination three years later. I'm only three episodes in, but I like so far.

The Man in the High Castle.

More alternate reality than time travel, but a great series IMHO.

both are fantastic series, but not sure time travel is correct, but won't say why cause of the last few episodes of Ashes to Ashes, and don't want to drop any spoilers

That sounds like a Stephen King novel from when I was reading Stephen King novel.

Sigmonkey's quote would fit that novel. The guy owns a diner that offers cheap hamburgers and he gets his meat from that time.

I think it ended up the guy's present time becomes bleaker every time he goes back and returns. A part of the story was trying to stop Oswald.

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.

I watched this one years ago, need to rewatch it as there were times I found it hard to follow.

It was on pg 1, I read the [very long] book before watching the series
Both were good, but they had to cut/alter quite a bit for tv.

I bought the series on Prime and watched the first five or six episodes but didn't finish it. Can't remember why. I need to get the book.

The Way Home. A Netflix series about a time traveling family. Rather Hallmarkish but I find it entertaining.
