I'm holding off on eps 3 until Saturday and will then watch two...

at first I though the fight scene in the first episode was a little much... but as said he is an old professional .... personally I thought the 2nd episode was kind of lame but I guess they are building you up.

I have a question for those of you whom have watched the first 4 episodes.
The wife and I have been planning to watch this, but we like to watch 3 or 4 episodes at a time depending on run time.
We are stuck in the Xfinity trap and their On Demand Streaming has episodes 1, 2 and 4 available with episode 5 and 6 in "upcoming" episodes. #3 is separated into "additional" episodes and will air on July 9th.
My question is this: Based on what you have seen, does it make sense in terms of content and or continuity to watch 1,2 and 4 now and 3 after it airs on the 9th, or should we wait until 3 airs and watch them in numerical order?

Thanks for your input.

You're going to want to watch in order.

That did cross my mind as well, but the flashbacks haven't yet shown what occurred when she left him for Chase. Should be interesting.

Well they have done a good job with the actor that plays the young Bridges....looks a lot like him.. sort of okay with the young Lithgow character....

Came across this photo of Jeff Bridges in 1984... I'd say they nailed it with the actor that's playing him younger!

Spoiler alert*******

That last episode drove me nuts. Two things. First, this sketchy old divorcee doesn’t have some magical skill to read “cracks” in anything besides the sidewalk. He might like screwing her but she isn’t bringing anything else to the table. Secondly, he needs the money to protect his daughter. Giving away half certainly doesn’t help. If he had that Rottweiler latch onto her throat he would have her email password before she pissed her pants. Lazy writing. I have to believe he now has an attachment to her that is strong enough to at least let him risk his daughters life. Not buying that. Get the email, drop her in a hole. That’s the reality.

She definitely is Hamzad’s daughter in my mind. First thing I thought during those last 2 episodes.

I found the last episode so boring that I’m about to give up. If the next episode is as slow, predictable, and boring I’ll move on to other things.

I prefer to believe he respects her as being more cunning than he believed. Not love. But he definitely shouldn’t be dragging her around with him to further fuck things up.

Yeah and hearing about a second season has very much dampened my enthusiasm.

Really, the dogs are the best part of the overall show. I just made it to current and it sure seems the show changed from an action mini series to a phycological thriller.

Does Jeff Bridges really talk like that now, or is that his character?
