I'll start with: Naked Lunch(1991) eXitenZ(1999) Coincidentally they're both David Cronenberg films. That dude is whack. WTF. If you can watch those and not cringe, you ain't right.

District 9. Well done, but disturbing. __________________ "Owning a handgun doesn't make you armed any more than owning a guitar makes you a musician." -Jeff Cooper

Interesting submission, Chris. I've only seen that once, and it was years ago. I don't recall having any extreme feelings about it.

Was thinking the same. I vaguely remember it, but don't recall being put off by it. Think I even had bought the DVD at some point. The Enemy's gate is down.

Apocalypse Now Can't say why, but I found that movie so disturbing I've never been the least bit inclined to watch it ever again. "America is at that awkward stage. Natural Born Killers. I so abhor the glamorization and bloodlust the media has for violence and death (Dirty Laundry), that the movie about the subject itself, repulses me. (and I typically enjoy such movies intent) Idiocracy. Could not finish it. Same basic reason. Art too close to reality, and I get enough of that everyday. I agree with that one. I've only seen it once, and never want to see it again. Based on the synopsis of Pink Flamingos, I can tell that would be another. So I'll save myself the trouble of even seeing it the one time. 1959?

Guess I ain't right. Those two are a couple of my go-to's when I want extra weirdness. District 9 I enjoyed, but it had a couple of moments that hit me in the feels enough to keep me from watching it again. For me, it's more a matter of emotional overload that keeps me from re-watching. Example: Saving Private Ryan. I saw in the theater, and have only caught glimpse while channel surfing since. I felt it was good for me to watch it...once. Now then, the same guy that did District 9 also did Chappie, and that was too much for me in a certain spot so I quit watching it and wouldn't recommend it.

I understand that. I have seen Private Ryan twice, but it's been years and I have no desire to see it again. You can watch the two films I mentioned in the OP without making a face? You should be studied... for science or something.
