Yikes. I'll give this credit for one thing, reminding me Leslie Nielsen existed, what a gift he was.

It looks terrible. Zucker-Abrahams-Zucker have no involvement in it, which largely explains why it looks more like a cheap Scary Movie-type spoof than a ZAZ comedy (Airplane!, The Naked Gun, Top Secret!).

I'll watch it when it runs on Paramount + or Amazon Prime.

Neeson hates the 2A but always has a gun in his hand in his movies. Hard pass for me.

I'll take anything Seth McFarland worked on over Snow Brown and the 7 Offenders any day. Probably won't see this in theaters, but I did love the OJ joke at the end and how his name was just "Nordberg."

My reaction to this?

NO NO NO NO NO PLEASE GOD NO!!!

I'm a HUGE fan of the Naked Gun series and there is no one that can relace the utterly deadpan Leslie Nielsen, sorry. Just can't be done.

Why does Hollywood keep wrecking classics with remakes like this? Pisses me off so much Mad

I'm giving it a 10% chance of actually being good.

I'll stick to the original movies, and even better, the Police Squad! tv show.

Oh, look. The gun-grabbing Liam Neeson makes yet another film where he's carrying a gun and killing people.

Like Snow White, some movies don't need to be remade. Leslie Nielsen eased effortlessly from his former roles as ship commanders (Forbidden Planet), other authority figures and villains into deadpan comedy because he always wanted to do comedy. When he was offered his role in Airplane!, he leaped at the chance. I can't picture Liam Neeson doing that.
