If you're a fan of Seth McFarlane's humor, I wouldn't get your hopes up. The studio is using his name to help market the film, but aside from being a producer, he has little-to-no involvement in it (i.e., script, directing).
Steven Spielberg was an executive producer on all the Transformers and Men In Black franchise movies, but nobody considers those Spielberg films.

Leslie Nielson nailed the role as Frank Drebin. It just seemed natural for him, like Bruce Willis in Die Hard. They just go well together and are made for each other. I don't see Neeson in this role or even doing it half as good.
I'm slowly feeling cautiously optimistic. Akiva Schaffer has nailed some of the Zucker comedic moments, and I've liked a lot of stuff from The Lonely Island.

Having been to the theatre a couple of times the last month, I had to endure the movie screen trailer for this remake. If this trailer is indicative of the quality of the film, there is no reason for me to go.

There's no Leslie Nielsen and our society is too PC and woke now to make a raunchy Naked Gun type movie anymore where EVERYONE gets made fun of no matter what.
