What's your favorite hero death or sacrifice in a movie?

I'm sure there are many but the two that come to mind are:

Leon from The Professional...

Although not a fiery death, Creasy from Man On Fire...

Cool idea for a thread. Man on Fire will be hard to beat. That makes my hair stand up every time.

I'll contribute Point Break. Bodhi was more of an antihero, but I always thought he went out like a boss.

Flight of the Intruder comes to mind where a crippled LTCDR Cole calls in an airstrike on himself to ensure the AAA gun is neutralized and prevent Grafton and Camparelli from getting hurt/killed/captured trying to save him.

Braveheart needs to be on this list. *Edit - Beat to it.

Mads Mikkelsen in Valhalla Rising.

Obi Wan Kenobi. No further explanation needed.

T-800 in Terminator 2.

Basically everyone in Saving Private Ryan.

There’s many others that aren’t springing to mind this second.

And John Wayne being murdered by Bruce Dern in The Cowboys. Or the saloon shootout in The Shootist. Somewhat out of the "hero" category but the hanging of Dana Andrews in The Oxbow Incident.
