I have so many. These are only the ones that came to mind now:

1. Jang Hyuk's character at the end of Chuno (Korean drama series - The Slave Hunters)

2. Jang Hyuk's character at the end of Iris 2 (Korean drama series)

3. Arnold as Terminator (forgot which one) where he gets lowered into the molten iron (or something melted).

Spock's death in Khan was memorable. Inexplicable, but memorable.

And while he wasn't a hero until the very end, a truly memorable death scene:

Lots of good ones.

One standout I found poignant was how Charles Vane's death was portrayed in Black Sails. I haven't found a complete video but, what's not shown at the end of this scene, shows his men running up to his hanging body and pulling it down so his suffocation would be quick. Quite a show of loyalty in a bad situation.

M1Garandy's mention of Butch and Sundance is definitely up there.

John Wayne's death in the Cowboys. I saw it for the first time on tv when I was around 9 years old and it really bothered me. I just couldn't believe that the Duke was shot in the back right before my eyes.

That's the one. Weren't they both holding down the detonator button and grimacing "fuck it let's send them all to hell".
