I liked that one, too. "It is a capital mistake to theorize before one has data. Insensibly one begins to twist facts to suit theories, instead of theories to suit facts." Sherlock Holmes

In memory of Leo D. - two words, Spice World... No bullshit. Also, Bring It On - "Torrence has the fever, people!"
I absolutely loved Quills. My favorite actress Kate Winslet opposite Geoffrey Rush as the Marquis de Sade?! Hell, yeah! Directed by Philip Kaufman, who also helmed The Right Stuff and Invasion of the Body Snatchers '78! My buddy took me to a sneak preview of that film on the Cal Berkeley campus when it first came out because he knew I loved Kate. The poster had Geoffrey Rush romantically embracing Kate. I asked him, "Oh, is this going to be like a Merchant-Ivory chick flick?" It was so not a chick flick...

Demonlover. It's about corporate espionage and what happens if things go really, really, REALLY, wrong when you're found out. I'm a Connie Nielson fan and I happened upon it awhile back. It's very well acted and has Chloe Sevigny and Gina Gershon as supporting actresses and some of the most stark violence on film. I don't "like" it but I appreciate it as a story -if that makes sense.

Never saw the movie but I did see it live on Broadway and highly enjoyed it.
TOE PICK!!! In my middle school days I hung out with a little girl on the US National Figure Skating team so I sat through this one numerous times. After reading this thread I am also reminded of The Notebook ———————————————— The world's not perfect, but it's not that bad. If we got each other, and that's all we have. I will be your brother, and I'll hold your hand. You should know I'll be there for you!

If you like ABBA then you might like Muriel's Wedding. It is actually a pretty good movie and one of the films that came to mind when I read the title of this thread. ABBA songs are featured heavily. Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be men of courage; be strong. Do everything in love. - 1 Corinthians 16:13-14

Definitely Maybe. I like it for all the women that are in it. Also Chicago I always wanted to see it on Broadway but I never have had the chance or money.

The Cutting Edge Actually a pretty good movie. I like the female lead, Moira Kelly. Hudson Hawk is hilarious. Mine is the Rock of Ages musical with Tom Cruise. I think it was the 80's rock that kept me tuned in

Cutting edge, another great one. Main actor iirc is D.B. Sweeny. Someone else mentioned the lake house which I enjoyed.

there are some goofy comedies that I like, mostly for their camp... Broken Lizard's Club Dread, for instance. I also like Legends of the Fall, a lot, to some guys' dismay. I'm gonna vote for the funniest frog with the loudest croak on the highest log.
