Season one of True Detective, can't pick just one episode. Maybe 'cause I last binge-watched it straight through for the umpteenth time after surgery while being zorched out on Perocets, I count it all as one episode.
There was an episode of Fargo, I reckon it was season 2, and I remember Nick Offerman playing a small role in one or two episodes. Anyhow, while watching said episode, I thought to myself, "Jesus, this is absolutely amazing acting".
I don't want to look it up. But this episode made me believe that TV shows really shine in this particular format of one season "tells the whole story" format, ala True Detective. I don't need or want 9 seasons of one story. Tell the whole shit in 9 episodes and lets be done with it.

Netflix series "Mindhunter", Season 1, Episode 10 (Season Finale): After conducting several calm, but rather unnerving interviews with serial murderer Edmond Kemper, FBI Profiler Holden Ford gets a bit too up close and personal.

You beat me to it. I actually ran into Selleck two years ago at a Las Vegas gun show. I approached him and apologized for bothering him but said I had always wanted to shake hands with Lance White. He got a good laugh out of it and was very gracious. Nice man.
