Ignored facts still exist |
Even if you're not a fan of an entire TV series, there are specific TV episodes that are outstanding. Ideally these are episodes that stand on their own, even if you don't know who the characters are etc. They may be funny. They may be well written, or they just may be favorites. Here is my list South Park -- "Scott Tenorman Must Die" Miami Vice -- "Out where the busses Don't run" Star Trek TNG -- "Inner Light" Star Trek TOS -- "The City on the Edge of Forever" CSI -- "Grave Danger" Dragnet -- "The Big High" (free on Youtube) What's your list ?? ... Ok, so here's what I'm hoping to get from this thread --- there are many TV series that I never got into, but am interested in the most outstanding episodes to watch, without having to sit through the entire series. There have to be a bunch. Old and new. From Gunsmoke to Twilight zone, to NCSI, what are the best stand alone episodes from any TV series?? .

Hard to get past some of those already mentioned. Everyone I thought of, already mentioned. Classy crew we have on the SF! ______________________________________________ Life is short. It’s shorter with the wrong gun…

Justified, lots of the episodes, but Bloody Harlan (last episode of season 2) is the best, IMO. Honorable mention to Cash Game (episode 2 of season 6), mainly for one short scene ("I'm not following you"). Honorable mention because Raylan and Choo Choo managed to keep straight faces for the scene. When in doubt, mumble

My favorite as well. The scene where Raylan gets in the car with the hitman and driver is some of the best of that episode. “...or the next time I see you I shoot you both....”

Nope, nope, and nope. That's like fastforwarding a song just to hear the guitar solo, or only reading one chapter of a book. The context is all wrong.
