I disagree. Max is honest and the series is fukt with these batteries. It’s just stupid. I hope he finishes out his contract, and if this rule set remains, he bolts. He’ll race in another series and pull a fuck ton of viewers. If anything, F1 needs more drivers speaking up about how awful this is. What am I doing? I'm talking to an empty telephone | |||

I think the powers that be have to burn the midnight oil and decide what to do this week. Then the teams need to be given a few test days to sort it all out before the season resumes. I feel like the announcement teams have been putting a heavy spin on the issue but they don’t sound like they’re convincing themselves even. Max is doing a lot of the whining because his car is not competitive, but he’s not wrong either. Let’s just hope they are successful. Meanwhile, a lot of the stories are just clickbait and filler articles to kill the time so don’t put a lot into what you hear or read. ___________________________ Avoid buying ChiCom/CCP products whenever possible. | |||

I agree. There have been times in the past where either drivers or teams have boycotted a race to force changes. Look up the 1982 South African GP or the 2005 US GP ( I was there). I told a buddy recently. This is probably the absolute worst year to be a new fan. The ruleset is so complex, and all the stuff going on with the cars on track is complicated. I agree, some of this is hard to follow as a long-time fan. IMO: Up the fuel flow limit [and the max fuel capacity if needed] Up the rev limit so there is power with the extra fuel This would make up for some of the reduction in the EV side of things, shift it back to a majority ICE power. Shouldn't be hearing the engine rev down while at WOT on a long straight. Just seems so wrong. Saw a short on YT a couple weeks ago, Vettel in a V8 RBR in Australia going through T11-12 Nearly wide open & pushing Jump to this year & Russell, getting a decel/ramp down approaching T11. F1 has been successful grabbing new eyes with Netflix's "Drive to Survive", Apple TV's "F1 The Movie", American teams Haas and now Cadillac, Ford partnering with Red Bull. Now they throttle their best talent with green, self-righteous masturbation, yikes. Another permutation of suicidal empathy in its way, not inappropriate for 2026 UK. With the world on fire, F1 seems to think it's bigger than all that. I'm second guessing my Apple TV subscription, I must say. Maybe Lew hooking up with a Kardashian will save the day. F1 management seems to have forgotten what got them here. They are so hooked on catering to the manufacturers because they bring in the big money. But the need to pay for those expensive items is consuming the money. The thrill of watching the speed and talent was the draw for decades. Now they seem to think watching battery management and covered up by artificial passing will satisfy all sides. If you've never seen the real thing, watch this from 2009.
