Is Apple TV the ONLY source to watch this series? What is required to have Apple TV? I have Youtube TV, Prime Video, Netflix, etc.

Thanks!

I'm pretty sure you can go to the website and sign up for it just like any other streaming service.

The biggest disappointment for me is all the cgi B-17's.

Just finished the first episode so too soon to say other than it seems decent.
The setting is so different than the others that it doesn't feel connected in any way to BOB or the Pacific. Not a good or bad thing, just much different.
I'm another that got the months of Apple TV free but as I understand it it's only $10 a month and cancel any time so you can easily see the whole thing in a month. Certainly worth that price I would think.
A few more nights should give a better idea if it meets the hype, it has a high standard to live up to.

Watched the first two and enjoyed it. I do miss the character building from the initial training though.

It is very realistic, down to the check list and the flares. And the terror. It’s not going to be BoB, so forget that. Too many losses.

It’s going to take more time to feel connected to the characters.

I enjoyed the first two episodes.

As time passes and I watch it again and again like BOB and the Pacific, I’m sure that I will catch more nuances from the series.

I had to watch the Pacific a couple of times before I figured it all out. With BOB it was easy because of how they developed the characters from training, fighting etc.

Looking forward to more episodes…

Watched the first episode last night. I got over the CGI disappointment pretty quickly and became immersed in the story. I liked it and will keep watching.

My take away was the moment of terror they felt at first mission.

Looking at the sheer amount of damage to the plane and realizing your face can get torn off in an instant…it was captured.

These guys lived Normandy every day. The terror of crawling up a beach was the same for them in every mission flown. Day after day.

Well done in that regard.

Did anyone catch the "We shot down a Ju-88" during the second episode? I thought the "fighter" version of a Ju-88 was primarily a night fighter.

I've never been in a B-17 but good grief, for a plane that looks that big it sure is cramped!!!

The earlier Ju88C models were used as daytime heavy fighters, but not sure how often they intercepted B-17s. Not impossible, but not very common. Surprised they didn’t use Bf110s if they wanted to show twins.

They were bombing sub pens in Norway, and it was a front quarter attack (I think, they really show how fast those passes are!!!). Also, they had reduced speed so a damaged Fort could keep up with them.
