They were the corrupt, uniformed arm of the mustachioed drug guy, thus had it coming. And it was stupid gratuitious WELL EXECUTED violence. _______________________________ The artist formerly known as AllenInWV

[SPOILERS -- DO NOT CONTINUE READING] Metaphorical angel watching over him. Tyler Rake was troubled and believed he was a coward for not being man enough to stick around to watch his son die of lymphoma. He was a mess, barely sober, and reckless to the extent that he was the only one that would take this slapshod mission. The boy, as well, was lost. Trapped in his own loneliness and timidness. Desiring to have courage. They helped each other. The boy finding courage and stillness in himself. Tyler finding the courage to let go and be with his dead son. Spiritually, they will always be connected.

I have a bad habit of multi tasking while watching movies... Apparently I missed that. Could be his father or kidnapper #2 planning the next movie. A Perpetual Disappointment...

Hmmm. I didn't get 10 mins in to 6 Underground til i turned it off. It started off with a Michael Bay car chase with a bunch of silly shit. I got bored before that was over and turned it off. I liked Extraction though, as i said. Strive to live your life so when you wake up in the morning and your feet hit the floor, the devil says "Oh crap, he's up."

Great insight from the director and how they did it along with general film making challenges.

I’m not sure honestly which is the right answer, but I like your explanation a lot.

I enjoyed it. I’ve definitely regretted wasting 2 hours watching other movies but this was worth it.

For what it's worth, I think it was Tyler Rake standing by the pool. There's a great cinematic tradition of shot guys (good and bad) falling into bodies of water to disappear, only to survive to fight another day. Just like how guys get shot in the shoulder and knocked unconscious all the time and they're fine, no lasting trauma or incapacitation at all, LOL.

Concur with the observations the plot is totally predictable. Fun movie. I'll reinforce the assertion that Nik is totally HAWT! ...that I will support and defend...

I enjoyed it. Not a deep plot line type of movie, but one I'll watch again. _________________________________________ Dei. Familia. Patria. Victoria. Don't back up, don't back down.

Failing to prepare is preparing to fail. |
Agreed. Just before that, Ovi was “meditating” underwater, just as Tyler had done in Australia. Where did he learn that but from Tyler. At least that is my take on that scene. ________________________ "Don't mistake activity for achievement." John Wooden, "Wooden on Leadership"

Watched it again. Rake and Gaspar get into a fight at the safe house. Young Ovi, overheard enough of their conversation, in the eventual confrontation, that he comes down, grabs Gaspars pistol, then shoots him. Overcome with emotion at what he had done, he breaks down, sobbing, 'I just want to go home'. Rake knows they've got whatever money they could get, as there will be no more payout worth what they're up against, thus it can easily be assumed he gets Saju's contact info from Ovi. Rake arranges a meet-up with Saju and hands him a bag of guns. Without exposition, can it be assumed that all the weapons were from Gaspar's safehouse?

Yes, that's the only reasonable source for all those weapons.

I liked the movie except for the ending. Not sure he survives. Starting the movie with the end scene is something directors are starting to do and I don't like that either. As a side note my daughter in law wants to know why they could not find some reason for gratuitoius shirtless scenes for him. __________________Making Good People Helpless . . . quote: "Great insight from the director and how they did it along with general film making challenges." Corsair, great video. Sam Hargrave is going to go far. The action work on Extraction was incredible. He has great respect for the actors and the technical/artistic crew. I'm looking forward to more work from this director. drendean

I enjoyed it, better than most action movies lately. I'm extremely happy to see the era of shakey cam may be going away for the new "Wick" trend of long one shot scenes Don't weep for the stupid, or you will be crying all day
