If you remember the beginning of the move,e Chris jumped into the water from way up and just sat on the bottom of the water. A setup for the end of the movie?

I watched it today. As others have said, very predictable but still fun.

Same thing I thought. Tons of unrealistic stuff including that but it was enjoyable.

The only bummer is I struggled to understand him and the boy. Their voices where so low in the mix and you couldn't really turn it up much because the gun scenes where so outrageous. They did a poor job matching the closed captioning with what character was talking at the time.

Had a lot of John Wick action feel to it. I was pretty entertained, and distracted, which is what I am looking for these days. Good gun play always helps. I may watch it again.

Solid action debut by a stuntman director and, script written by the guy (Joe Russo) who directed Avengers. Guns, killing, action, yup, it filled a nice near 2-hrs. Netflix is making some solid headway with tactics driven action, first Triple Divide, now Extraction. Great camera work, this is what shaky-cam was meant for.

By-and-large, good gun handling. You can pick-apart a few items, still trying to figure out how Rake gets Suja's phone number and decide to team-up, otherwise, its entertaining.

Interesting to see an HK SL8 make an appearance, the 1x8 scope seemed a bit under-powered given its role in the movie...just a quibble. SCAR-17 Heavy also nice to see.

Add me to this list too...I spent so much time going up to 50 volume and then back to 10. And then back up to 50....rewind...turn on closed captioning (especially the scene when the kid is in bed at his buddy’s house)...turn off closed captioning...turn back down....

The movie was a lot of fun but yeah the sound in parts was bad

People complaining about the sound, are you playing the movie on systems with a discrete center channel?

I find that having a center channel speaker is critical in having intelligible dialogue in movies--especially action movies.

Something like 80% of dialogue is mastered directly to the center channel, and some of that discernability/directionality is missed when the movie is mixed down to stereo.

A 2.1 channel soundbar does not help, but a 3.1 channel will.

A center channel is an absolute must of you are watching using the audio from a flat screen TV.

I'd assume the kid knew it. Suja was the head of his security team, wasn't he?

There's some plot holes there, maybe I missed something, will have to turn-on the subtitles the next time. I'm trying not to dwell too deeply.

At the very beginning, where the boy is coming home from school, he stops off and has sodas or something with his buddies and scopes out the local cuties. When the car gets him home, Suja sorta berates him about how he's supposed to come directly from school.

Enjoyable action flick, but the old "bad guys patiently waiting their turn to get shot" does get old.

I thought it was a really fun movie.
Another great action flick is 6 Underground with Ryan Reynolds and the girl from Inglorious Bastards. Great action and hilarious.

Great locations. I ready somewhere that it was the first time in over 30-years that a movie, was filmed inside the Uffizi in Florence...let alone a car driving through it Eek

Possible spoiler.......

I kinda thought the ending was pretty clear... I don't see that neck wound being survivable. I just took it for blood loss, pass out, fall, die...

Hopefully, they will include a plot in part II.

No words for the hundreds of faceless, nameless uniformed drones that were on the job and got cancelled, blown up, mutilated, chopped to pieces, neutralized, beheaded, etc. and won't be returning home to their families..... Big Grin

Stupid gratuitious violence.
