I forgot to add that I also picked up a Weller 107 last Friday. It keeps going up in price and is at $59 here, but I like it enough to keep reserves.

Cheers~

Weller 107 is my personal favorite in the line up. Be thankful you can get it at all. We can ONLY get Weller Special Reserve here in FL and it's ONLY through ABC Liquors. You can occasionally get some of the other Weller labels via the ABC Vault, but I dont spend enough money to qualify.

Just downloaded photos from my camera to computer today of our Bourbon Trail vacation from a couple of weeks ago. Visited two distilleries in TN (George Dickel, Jack Daniels), then nine more in the Louisville area. Our 2nd year in a row doing this, it is a lot of fun.

Makers Mark, here workers manually dip the bottles in the famous red wax-

...they also manually print the bottle labels using old Chandler printers.

And our tasting flight:

Here we did the Maturation Matters Warehouse Experience at Jim Beam, where we tasted bourbon straight out of three barrels which were stored at different levels in the rickhouse- top row, middle, bottom row, location and age produces different products including Booker, Baker, Knob Creek, and Jim Beam. A volunteer for each barrel (I was one) dipped the Whiskey Thief tool into the bung hole and poured a sample for each of us until we said "when" Smile . Extremely cool experience.

We also had a barrel sampling at Bardstown Distillery.

At Heaven Hill, we signed up for bottling our own bourbon, we both chose Elijah Craig. Using a handheld nozzle tool, we filled our bottles with barrel proof whiskey and created label info-

If you haven't done the trail tours, it is a lot of fun and well worth the time and effort.

Did a little shopping today and picked up one of the new Red label Four Roses OESK Single Barrel's, a Russell's Private Barrel Selection Single Barrel store pick from one of my favorite shops and a Wild Turkey 8yr. I hear those are even better than the 70th Anniversary bottles.

Last Friday I picked up a Knob Creek single barrel Rye store pick. Looking forward to some 115 proof spice.

Saturday out of town I found a James E Pepper decanter bottle. What the heck, I've never tried that one.

Yesterday the girlfriend hands me a bottle of Trail's End 10 year.

Wowza - I think there will be a cigar this weekend with some sampling.

Cheers all ~

I've had a couple of these bottles. Seems like the first couple of pours out of them isn't the greatest but after they've been opened for a bit I really like them.

Grabbed a bottle of EHT small batch today. I’ve actually never bought a bottle.

Local shop has quite a few good bottles on the shelves. EHT, ER, BT, Blantons, John Bowman, Larceny Single Barrel, etc.

Not in my area yet but my guess if any stores locally get them they will go to buddies of the owners or available at way over secondary prices.

I've seen they've also announced an Eagle Rare 30yr will hit this year as well.

Not yet, but I am stoked to try it, if I can find it reasonably priced.

MSRP is basically the same as ER10 and they are saying it is not a special limited edition but will be a permanent product so that should keep costs down.

You will not be disappointed!
Col. EHT is one of my favorites! I dont think the Buffalo Trace puts out a bad product.
